Remind me never to go to Eugene, Oregon. Evidently it’s loaded with white trash low lifes.

So at what point can an officer start to defend him/herself from being injured by a minor? Does the kid have to pull out a knife or gun before the cop can finally be justified in using the least amount of force necessary to stop the kid from injuring him/her???? I would’ve loved to see the other cops take some of the protestors for disorderly.

Those officers used great restraint against a very aggressive and unreasonable group of people. If that officer would have aggressively back handed that child, like all the created drama might lead you to believe, that child would have been sent tumbling down the sidewalk. And that was simply not the case. Job well done to all of the officers at that scene.

Wow, for a minute there I though this was happening at People’s Park in Berkeley….now I know where the lost generation goes on vacation..Oregon. Great example of how cops get treated and the restraint they use everyday…even when bitten.

Thank god they were able to use their Obama phones to video record an effective PSA on how white trash continue the cycle. The officer hardly touched the kid. Maybe the kid should have been cuffed at the beginning? Perhaps ASP or S&W can bring out a line of small cuffs in bright colors perhaps with cartoon characters on them.

Also consider this: in light of the nature of the kid’s evident parents and friends, the kid could have been infected with AIDS which would have made the biting a lethal attempt, even attempted murder.

The boy did not want to go with his dad. Mom did not have custodial rights (imagine that. Court said the child was better off with dad.!!) So, call CPS and let them take custody of the kid and they can figure it out.

The mom should have been arrested when she would not let go of her son, obviously Delaying the Officer from performing his lawful duties. (CA penal code 148, misdemeanor). The kid got what he deserved!! He should have taken the little turd to jail for assault on an officer.

There are many “lowlifes” in our country, not just Oregon. I loved my time as a cop in the Los Angeles area (31 yrs). I enjoyed the excitement. I do not miss these types of idiots.

If this video is representative of that community, then there appears , we have new crop, destined for jail , or the Penitentiary , maybe worst. Seems to me the slight pop the child got was enough to make him stop biting. The officer held onto the kid for another 10 or 15 minutes and didn’t get bit again. Low class folks!

The weirdo in the tie dye shirt was making me concerned, his body language and avoiding a camera shot of his face was a red flag in itself.
We used to institutionalize people who are aggressive to society but thanks to jimmy carter and the ACLU these sociopaths now run the streets and ruin city parks so the normal people who pay taxes for those parks can not use them. I applaud these officers for the way they handles this. I would have pepper sprayed every one of them idiots, especially the mouthy big shot 11 year old. Then I would have charged him for obstruction of justice. Thanks to the lady the filmed this, I can see why she no longer has custody of her child. She is teaching others it is ok to disrespect law enforcement.

If the little c[r]unt had bitten me I’d slap him a good one too. Problem is that the nannies over the years have managed to get their parenting “skills” ingrained into the larger community, where a slap in the supermarket, no matter how destructive the child’s behaviour, would get you arrested.

In my day, and many others here would also remember, the whole town would line up to lay out their share. Bet most of the “parents” yelling at the cop in protest routinely hit their own kids.

It may depend on the country and state, but I currently know of no law against corporal punishment. I did hear some babble here in Oz about making it unlawful, but it’s since gone off the radar.
