DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 5, 2004 – The 50th anniversary of Ford Thunderbird was celebrated today as the limited edition 2005 model was surrounded by classic T-Birds at the Wixom Assembly Plant. Employees and guests from local Thunderbird car clubs viewed the display of old and new vehicles. Earlier today, the 50th anniversary edition Thunderbird was unveiled at the South Florida International Auto Show in Miami. “A golden anniversary is something special – just like this car,” said Patricia Reid, plant manager, Wixom Assembly Plant. “We’re pleased to show 50th anniversary model surrounded by Thunderbirds from throughout the years.” Pictued is a 1955 T-bird with the 2005 Limited Edition T-bird.
