A 95-year-old man who served his country during World War II is now dead after police stormed his retirement home with riot shields, Tasered him and shot him with bean bag rounds – all because he adamantly refused to undergo high-risk surgery.
U.S. Army Air Corps veteran John Wrana, who was honorably discharged as a sergeant after he served in the India-Burma campaign, used a walker because family members said he was “wobbly” on his feet, according to the Chicago Tribune. The elderly veteran was shot down by enemy fire during the war.
On July 26, a doctor reportedly told Wrana if he survived surgery, he would likely be put on life support. The elderly man refused the operation, and paramedics attempted to involuntarily transport him for medical treatment. He was sitting in a chair, holding a cane and a shoe horn when police arrived at the Victory Centre senior living facility located just south of Chicago.
I suppose, in a kind of sickening way, I’m getting what I wished for.
After Ron Paul dropped out, I hoped Obama would win.
Because if the other guy had won, many would have gone soundly back to sleep. But Obama, I reckoned, would accelerate the Elites’ plans so dramatically it would waken even the soundest sleeper.
It seems to be working.
But now it’s a dead-heat race–will enough awaken soon enough to stop the calamity? And if the calamity happens, will we have a Jacobin revolution a la France, or an Enlightenment and Second American Revolution?
I’m feeling less and less optimistic. Never before have so many been aware of what’s happening – and why it is happening. But they’re atomized and leaderless; geographically dispersed – with no common thing (or place) to rally ’round. As a for-instance, I submit myself.
I am surrounded by the duopoly. Left – or right. Democrats – or Republicans. Both of whom unite when it comes to their opposition to me. That is, to any person who rejects their core belief in the legitimation of group violence against the individual who just wants to be left the hell alone and to pay his own way (and no one else’s way) in this life.
The worst part? They’re not consciously evil people. Most are – superficially – very nice people. But tell the school lunch lady down the road that you’d prefer not to be forced to “help” pay her salary – and watch the turn.
Americans – by and large – have been vitrified in their statism. The best of them are European-style social democrats – much as the “conservative” Republicans among them would chafe at this description. Nonetheless, it is absolutely true given their reflexive support for everything from school lunches to Social Security to seatbelt laws and the TSA.
The worst among them are worse than the Russian proles of circa 1918: An envy-eaten mob that will tear apart the Kulaks (that’s us) with glee – out of sheer hatred.
And what gnaws at me lately is that, unlike in 1918 (or 1932) there is no longer anywhere left to go. The world has become – or is becoming – a monolithic Soviet.
It may very well be that we’re stuck – until someone figures out a way to leave this Earth and start over someplace else. Where there are no people – and thus, no government.
Or corporations.
America worked because North America was for many hundreds of years beyond the grasp of organized authority – and even of other god-damned people (Clovers). A man could just move a little deeper into the woods. And even the populated areas were – by dint of the foregoing – still very free relative to now.
But that’s all gone.

Consider that there may NOT be a loss-of-faith-in-the-dollar-event.
Ninety-nine percent of the people are just fine with getting a “government-check” regardless of the exact method and/or medium. Right now it is still checks and deposits but in the future it will just be credits and debits to the account they give you before you even leave the womb.
Many fail to see and/or fully understand what the global oligarchs are doing with the dollar. Rest assured that they fully intend…and are WELL on their way…to create a global system where direct person to person barter/exchange/etc is absolutely outlawed with snitches receiving plenty of continued incentives to seek out and turn-in anyone and everyone who falls for their trap.
When they have total control of your credits and debits…AND THE TAXES THEY FOIST UPON EACH INDIVIDUAL(think “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”)…then they will have achieved the ability to make each individual as “rich” or as “poor” as they want…when they want…for whatever reason they have at that moment in time.
It is already happening. A single(unmarried) person who has little or no “exemptions” will be taxed(debited) heavily to “punish” them for not providing the oligarchs with some future cannon-fodder. As many have commented frequently across the spans of time, the oligarchs care not-a-wit about fame or fortune…their ultimate and all-consuming lust is for the control of the mass of humanity…their “cattle”…yep, livestock.
Or if you’d rather a different picture then remember in the movie The Matrix when Morpheus explains to Neo that humans are the “batteries”…the energy source…for the Matrix.
And, like Eric and many others, we wonder how our prodigy will ever be able to escape these oligarchs with their “all-seeing-eye” cameras/computers/machines/etc and their vast armies of assassins/drones/mercenaries/snitches/etc.
Hey, they can do anything to you that they desire…ANYTHING…and your neighbors/fellow-parishioners/gym-mates/work-mates/etc will notice for a brief moment and then go back to their normally-programmed-existence cowering-in-constant-fear of getting cut-off from “their” “share” of the loot and booty harvested from their children/family/friends/grandchildren/neighbors/etc.
