If Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia ever produced cartoons, this is what they’d have been like. The state’s costumed goons are portrayed as benevolent supermen. Physically imposing, yet benign (the reverse of the shabby reality). And course, neither the “kid” nor the “mom” character is subjected to a crotch-grabbing while the “dad” stands by helplessly.
