HAMMOND, IN — A family is upset after a police officer pulled up to their home, and within seconds without warning had pulled his gun and shot the family dog that was contained inside an invisible fence on its owners’ property.

The dog’s owner, Norma Maldonado, called attention to the June 10th incident after her 1.5 year old puppy, Lilly, received a bullet to the face during a family cookout. She wrote to local media:

My dog was shot in the face today by an officer from the Hammond Indiana police department. Lilly was on the side of our house with my two boys ages 7, and 11 years old, my daughter 16 yrs old and my baby boy 11 months were standing 15 feet behind her. We have a sign and flags in our front yard warning everyone that Lilly is on the premises and is confined by an electric fence, there are also flags marking up to what point she can reach (middle of our front yard). The police officer decided to jump out of his vehicle, take out his gun and shoot my dog in the face in front of all my kids and neighbors. He never said a word before he shot her! Our family needs justice, hammond police like to beat up there K9 police dogs and now it seems they like to shoot the residents pets in front of children! What would of happened if he would of missed and hit my kids instead? Something has to be done… Someone please help us get this out, he completely didn’t care for my kids safety or well being.

The reason police arrived on the scene was apparently a complaint that the dog was not tethered; an apparent violation of the city’s leash law. The officer was dispatched with the expectation that a pet was loose.

The officer pulled up to the address, walked onto the property and immediately found the justification to shoot the dog. HPD’s statement characterized the dog as in “attack mode,” defending the shooting by stating the stating that the officer saw the dog approaching and was justified in stopping it with force.

But the witnesses say that the shooting was unnecessary and dangerous. There were children just a few feet away. Was the officer really so terrified that he had to open fire at a picnic?

After police arrived, it was “not even 10 seconds later we heard the gun shot and Lily screamed out,” Maldonado said to FOX 32. “And I just dropped what I was doing and I went running and I has still seen the officer pointing his gun.”

“After being shot,” Maldonado said, “Lilly crawled to the baby, since she is never far from his side.”

Maldonado asked the officer why he shot her dog. She recalled the response: “He said, ‘because your dog was loose.’”

The name of the officer has not been publicly released, and with the department’s swift absolution of their own actions, accountability is practically impossible.

Each robotic unit reportedly contains an internal incinerator compartment capable of destroying almost any form of evidence that could implicate it in abuse.

Its operating system is also reportedly loaded with advanced visual recognition software that allows the robot to identify nearly any object in the subject’s hand as a weapon, prompting it to rapidly empty the clip on its extendable .40-caliber firearm.

The current version reportedly improves on the functionality of the AP-11, which suffered from a software glitch that led the robot to read arrestees their Miranda Rights and allowed them to contact an attorney before being interrogated.

It’s almost like some villaneous entity helped launch him in a super-villain’s trajectory instead of a petty criminal sketchy child loser arc that tapers off as testosterone levels drop with age.

  3. the scumbags name “hasn’t been publicly released” because they’re afraid someone from that family or another dog lover will return the favor and put a bullet in HIS face. I would if it was my dog, here’s hoping.

      • If you’ve ever heard of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon…

I wonder how most of us have to go before we trace the source of our paycheck as coming from the Star-Spangled Leviathan himself?

In my case, we have contracts with Clark County NV School Districts for various jobs. Many of these jobs have included retrofitting classrooms and hallways for surveillance equipment installation.

I guess that makes it only 2 degrees of separation of myself from the Police State. A second degree Porktard. Sad to think about.

The police presence in schools is much more worrisome to me than their presence on the roads. These scumbag vultures devour far more revenue and probably have a far greater negative impact than the pigs on wheels, IMHO.

Publically available info on Vegas school surveillance:

Rodriguez-Malfavon claims the school district used surveillance cameras to secretly record employees, students and parents at the Academy for Individualized Studies, an alternative campus for teens and adults.

A CCSD spokeswoman says the cameras were for safety, not for spying.

Rodriguez-Malfavon says, “I was demoted to a support staff position and I lost about 54 percent of my salary, because I was doing the right thing.”

Welcome to Militarized Command Economy America

        • Obviously they are attractive and dangerous high crime places for our children to loiter near. We need a federal Brady commission formed and disband those hazard zones (for the children).

Lucky for aware parents technology will soon make them ancient Prussian jailhouse relics.

Let me start with the DESIGNING EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE papers. They were the collusion with the federal education department and the presumably independent state agencies. They redefined education after the 19th century Germanic fashion as (quoting now from the document) “as a means to achieve important economic and social goals for the national character” — and I would hasten to add that none of those goals included the maximum development of your son or daughter. State agencies would henceforth “act as Federal enforcers insuring compliance of local schools with Federal directives”. The document proclaimed that ( I’m quoting again), “each state education department must be an agent of change”, proclaimed further “change must be institutionalized”. I doubt if an account of this appeared in any newspaper in the state of Vermont or for that matter any newspaper in the country (U.S.). Education departments were (I am quoting a third time) “to lose their identity as well as their authority in order to form a partnership with the Federal Government”.

The BEHAVIORAL TEACHER EDUCATIONAL PROJECT outlines specific teaching reforms to be forced on the country, unwillingly of course, after 1967. It also sets out, in clear language, the outlook and intent of its invisible creators. Nothing less than quoting again “the impersonal manipulation through schooling of a future America in which few will be able to maintain control over their own opinions”, an America in which (quoting again) “each individual receives at birth, a multipurpose identification number which enables employers and other controllers to keep track of their [underlings]”, (underlings is my interpretation, everything else came out of the document), “and to expose them to the directors subliminal influence of the state education department and the federal department acting through those whenever necessary”.
