Here are the latest reader questions, along with my replies:

Bethany asks: Hi Eric, my husband and I enjoy reading your articles on LewRockwell.com and I was wondering if you are the same Eric Peters that I went to school with at General Brown High? Keep up the good work, we appreciate all that you do.

My reply: It must be my doppelganger! I went to high school in Northern Virginia, four of the most unproductive years of my life. I mean insofar as learning anything. Wait. I take that back. I learned a great deal about the nature of government schools! That the object of the exercise is not the cultivation of the mind but rather the inculcation of “social norms” – how to be (as Carlin put it) an obedient worker. Luckily – or not – the conditioning didn’t take. Thanks for the Kind words!

Bob asks: If I showed up in your driveway with a cherry ’92 metro would you turn me away? I’m ready for a road trip and I have always wanted to meet you.

My reply: I am a low-rent Hawthorne Abendsen (for those who know the reference) and the high castle’s location is no secret; drop ins by friends are part of the etiquette down here!

Chris asks: Do you recommend Amsoil on late model cards too? I’ve got 2011 and 2017 Fords.

My reply: Yes, I use it in my personal (late model) vehicles as well. I used to use Mobil 1 – which is a very good oil – but if you dig into the technical data (and independent testing) you’ll discover that Amsoil is objectively the better product. Anecdotally, I’ve noticed easier cold start performance and also reduced consumption over time.
