It’s been disclosed that Oracle’s chief Larry Ellison has made a $1 billion “donation” to keep Tesla limping along.
Well, at least for once it’s not the taxpayers footing the bill.
But it is revelatory.
The 74-year-old Ellison is the ninth-richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of more than $51 beeeelll-yon dollars. Automotive News reports that he owns three million shares through something called the the Lawrence J. Ellison Revocable Trust.
Paraphrasing Dishonest Abe: EVs are of, by and for the rich.
Ellison being Exhibit A.

Have you been watching richrebuilds on youtube lately Eric?
He’s been trying to purchase a used Model X directly from Tesla Motors. I think his saga has been going on for nearly 2 months now.

The saga is just such a hassle that only a fan bois would put up with it.
Watched this…. the only thing I’m sure of is that the profit on the sale was booked in the Tesla results for the quarter…. Im really starting to suspect the car perhaps didn’t even exist and they needed to show sales, or perhaps they sold it numerous times…… otherwise how hard can it be to get a used car to a customer… if you read the comments on the video tons of people are having similar issues!!
The parking apron at Sardy Field (KASE, Aspen’s airport) was full over the holidays. A private 737 called “The Whale” landed, causing quite a commotion with the good people of Woody Creek (former resident Hunter S Thompson):

But everything is going to be OK! The number of Teslas on highway 82 is growing every day.
RK,
You got me excited for a minute. I thought it was a Guppy.
After looking at the picture in your link, my question is, can it take off?
I’ve heard stories of guys having to ship the seats back from Mexico City in the summer time.
Altitude may be your friend, but density altitude can be a bitch.
