X writes: Great article (this one) but I am afraid it will only get worse. You can’t keep hiring brain dead high school bullies and idiots who join the army so they can kill some “sand ni**ers” to our police departments or nothing will ever change. Now every TV show is either glorifying the FBI and their massive surveillance state or SWAT shows where the lead character has a chip, the size of tree, on his way shoulder against whites. Our mass media does everything possible to promote the police state. You should see the flak I get for objecting to generically calling all cops and soldiers heroes. I have said many times I am more afraid of cops than the worse SOB that I ever met. Please keep up the good work because we need people shouting from the rooftops.
My reply: I agree; it is almost certain to get worse – but that may be the necessary curative. Like having to hug the porcelain god for a day to let the food poisoned chicken you ate work its way through your system. In any event, I will not go silent, or mince words – or pretend it’s all dandy. I’m not good at practicing what Orwell called reality control. Besides, someone’s got to do it.
Might as well be me.
I can, because I have no wife or kids – so whatever descends upon me descends on myself only. Let them come. I will – as the captain of the Bismarck said – fire to the last shell and until the barrels glow from the heat.

Thanks for that one, T. I have actually started to get wobbly about trying out a new car for the first time in my 54 years. That was just what I needed to get back to looking at 10-20 year old TDI’s.
