NC AGW Makes Taxpayers Pay $400k for Hut! Hut! Hutting!

The citizens of Hickory, NC are on the hook for $400k – compensation for the brutal Hut! Hut! Hutting! of a handcuffed woman by an armed government worker, who yanked her from the backseat of his taxpayer-financed squad car and hurled her to the pavement; since her hands were cuffed behind her back, she had no way to cushion the fall and her face bore the brunt of the impact.

Amazingly, she suffered no permanent injuries.

The incident, which was caught on surveillance video, led to the usual slap-on-the-wrist for the AGW, who received four months’ probation as well as termination from his tax-feeding job as an AGW. He will, of course, be free to leech off taxpayers in some other state or county – and force them to pay the bill for his next Hut! Hut! Hutting!

Once again, the noxious doctrine of sovereign immunity – which shields AGWs from personal liability for the harms they visit upon others – encourages AGWs to visit harm upon others.

After all, why not?   If you’re a sociopath/psychopath, there’s no moral reason to not harm people. Take away the threat of personal financial ruin and you’ve taken away every reason to for an AGW to think twice before he Hut! Hut! Huts!

No surprise, then, that AGWs reflexively Hut! Hut! Hut!

  1. Just think of how that 400k could have been spent on electric vehicles for the police department. Any cop that is “under investigation” would be relegated to the EV fleet cars until the obligatory exoneration.
They couldn’t go very fast very far and then they would be left at the side of the road hollering at five overs to “pull over”with their ticket book. At least it would get those huuuge SUVs out of the hands of the road warriors.

  2. It took six bleeding years for this case to be settled? It beggars belief. As usual the relevant government jurisdiction either completely defends the gorillas or gives them a tap on the wrist with a feather duster.
