Apparently, you also have a “shared responsibility” in California to pay the government for not paying the insurance mafia for the health insurance policy the federal government says you must pay for.
And California will collect what the feds say you owe, according to a reader – who says he just had his “shared responsibility” fine for not buying insurance from the mafia collected directly from his bank account.
Gavin Newsom – a far worse thing than the Biden Thing, being much younger and an active Leftist rather than a hack-tool of Leftism – shepherded a mimic law of the federal Affordable Care Act (i.e., Obamacare) that requires all Americans to pay the insurance mafia or else into law in California.
And unlike the federal law, California’s has teeth.
The feds (courtesy of Trump) no longer have the legal power to make you pay a “shared responsibility” fine if you haven’t paid the insurance mafia. If you still “owe” a “shared responsibility” fine for not having paid the mafia prior to the Trump-era repeal of the fed’s power to levy this fine ongoing (for continuing to not pay the mafia) the only method available to the feds to collect what you don’t (morally) owe is by deducting whatever they say you “owe” from your tax refund, if any. So long as you are careful to avoid paying more than you “owe” in federal taxes, the feds cannot make you pay past-due “shared responsibility” payments for not paying the insurance mafia.
But in California, there is Newsome – and here’s the thing: Fail to pay the mafia and he will make you pay the state of California, as per SB78.
The relevant portion is 61025. section (1):
(a) The Franchise Tax Board’s civil authority and procedures for purposes of compliance with notice and other due process requirements imposed by law to collect income taxes shall be applicable to the collection of the Individual Shared Responsibility Penalty.
Italics aded.
The language seems to be contradictory in that “the applicable individual” – i.e., the person who did not pay the insurance mafia, per California’s law – “shall not be subject to a criminal prosecution or penalty with respect to that failure.”
And yet, my reader in California was subjected to just that. Not the criminal prosecution part (roll that around in your head a minute; a criminal prosecution – even the mention of the possibility – for failing to hand over money to the insurance mafia, a private and for-profit operation) but the payment part.
Which my reader says he was forced to pay.
He says he contacted the Franchise Tax Board and had them read the italicized portion above in an effort to get clarification. “In one ear and out the other,” he says. Per Deliverance, when the government wants your money, they’ll take your money.
And so they did.
Thus, while most Americans still enjoy the freedom to not pay a private, for-profit operation for “coverage” they don’t want and for costs they’ve not imposed on “society” (the latter being the usual justification-ululation of the Left, notwithstanding any substantiation of costs actually imposed on anyone) people who live in California have a “shared responsibility” to pay for the costs they’ve not imposed by not handing over money to the insurance mafia.
And the apparat of Gavin Newsom will collect.
“Criminal prosecutions” don’t apply – yet. Perhaps because they aren’t necessary – to collect. Apparently, the state can simply take what it says you owe – directly un-deposit style. You don’t even have to write a check.
This is a preview of what’s coming if the youthful actual Leftist should supplant the geriatric grifter who is content to be used by the Left (the pay’s quite good and so are the benefits).
Elections may not matter – but they do have consequences.

Eric,
Thanks for posting this article, I appreciate it!!!
Good morning, William –
If it helped, it was worth doing! Whatever I can do, I will do. I believe the more of us who decide to do just that, the sooner we may recover civilization.
Expatriated Californicator M N Gordon offers a fine takedown of the tarnished Golden State:
‘California faces a $68 billion deficit.
‘If you didn’t know, in California the top one percent of taxpayers pay 50 percent of state income tax. The top 0.1 percent pays a third.
‘Governor Newsom will likely close the record deficit by dipping into $24 billion of emergency funds and by commandeering $10 billion previously allocated for transportation, environmental and education programs.
‘By our rough calculation that cuts the $68 billion deficit in half. Where will the other $34 billion come from?
‘Come January 1, the top [state] income tax rate spikes to 14.4 percent, up from 13.3 percent. Moreover, workers making over $61,214 will pay [a marginal rate] of 10.4 percent of their income to the state, up from the current 9.3 percent.’
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/california-circles-toilet-bowl
California’s confiscatory top tax rates now resemble those of New York City in 1969, when the combination of federal, state and city income taxes confiscated 96% of every dollar received by top-bracket earners.
Five years later, NYC flirted with bankruptcy. Is California’s trajectory going to be any different? Do you want money-grabber Newsom, presiding over the highest state tax rates in the US, to crank federal taxes back to the 70% top rate that prevailed in 1980?
Excerpts from M N Gordon’s back story:
‘The coronavirus hysteria, and how our state and local government went full tyrannical retard, was the clarifying event. We could no longer live under the boot of these control freak sociopaths. Moreover, their socialist policies had become more than just a nuisance. They were, in fact, turning many of the urban areas into unlivable hellholes.
‘Before we pulled our son out of the local Long Beach public high school, he was learning history from someone that went by Mx. The teacher – a dude with a green beard – was uncertain if he was male or female. So, he used Mx. instead of Mr. or Ms.
‘We were like a fish out of water. Gasping for life. We had to move.
‘“Don’t California My Tennessee” bumper stickers and T-shirts are popular. This is fine by us. Our 2,200-mile move was to escape the liberal hellhole in California. Hence, we’re more passionate about keeping Marxist policies out of Tennessee than many Tennesseans. Why?
‘Because we’ve lived through it. We have firsthand experience with how it destroys cities and communities. And we want no part of it.‘
https://economicprism.com/the-backstory-on-our-california-exodus/
This, was powerful stuff:
“…we’re more passionate about keeping Marxist policies out of Tennessee than many Tennesseans. Why?
‘Because we’ve lived through it. We have firsthand experience with how it destroys cities and communities. And we want no part of it.‘”
Let that reverberate throughout the land. Eh?
While discussing young Gavin, let us not forget that another malign Californicator — Kamala Harris — has a 1-in-19 actuarial chance of becoming president in the next 12 months, should the 81-year-old ‘Biden’ expire.
‘During her speech unveiling the new Safer State Initiative Wednesday, Ms. Harris insisted that while she is “absolutely in favor of the Second Amendment” she is “also in favor of an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, red flag laws.”‘ — ZH
Who will rid us of these tyrannical Left Coast pests?

While looking at this paragraph, I’m just,…
‘During her speech unveiling the new Safer State Initiative Wednesday, Ms. Harris insisted that while she is “absolutely in favor of the Second Amendment” she is “also in favor of an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, red flag laws.”‘ — ZH
…These ‘people’ really do seem to be a different kind of human being. …Land sharks?
The real dirt on Kamala — from a raging liberal Democrat who would prefer Stacey Abrams:
‘“Chain of custody” is a legal term which means that the evidence you submit to the court is that same uncontaminated evidence you seized at the crime scene.
‘Kamala was hauled before three liberal judges who were outraged by her sloppiness. In response, Kamala lied under oath to all of them, trying to blame it on the police department crime lab, but that was total bullshit. Kamala should have been disbarred as a result.
‘When the dust cleared, 1,100 FELONIES had to be dismissed — by Democratic judges. In the history of American jurisprudence, I don’t think this has ever happened.’

“This is a preview of what’s coming if the youthful actual Leftist should supplant the geriatric grifter”
I strongly agree they could install a youthful actor, like Gavin Newsom, because that is exactly what they want – and regardless of how the vote actually turns out. Elections are stage managed shit shows, including the polls. Which is why you should rely on the betting odds, not the polls.
Six months ago I started predicting online, and on this site, that Gruesome Newsom (aka Jabbin’ Newscum) would be the next installed president regardless if Trump got 100% of the vote. Now I am not so sure, as a couple of weeks ago he debated Gov. Ron DeSantis and did so poorly, his Jewish wife yanked him off stage.
Fooled again, I didn’t realize that the installed dummy Governator of Calipornia didn’t have to be charismatic in any way, any dull turd floating in the political cesspool would do so long as he pushed the agenda. How many governors are CIA installed? 100%?
Newsom’s online betting odds immediately took a vertical drop after the debate. Libertarian John Stossel maintains an election betting odds website which is most useful in watching the staged managed election fraud in real time:
https://www.electionbettingodds.com/
Click on charts. Note Newsom’s vertical drop, note that Biden is waning in the polls (due to offending his base with two major bloodlettings). Note how Biden thing is distancing himself from Nutjobyahoo, because we are less than 11 months to selection day. Biden’s base are all the extreme leftist NPR bleeding hearts who watch Democracy Now on the edge of their seats!
Why did I predict a Newsom win? Because he is a younger Biden, aggressively pushing the Leftist (Communist Jew) agenda, and that is exactly what they want. But Amerikans do not want it which is why Trump is way above everyone else – and will stay there until they put him in jail, suicide him, make him die suddenly, or whatever. They know damn well they can’t beat him, and the Bidens/Obamas/Clintons are part of the Deep State criminals who kill for fun and profit and political power. Does Vince Foster ring a bell?
If you don’t know about the “Clinton Chronicles” from 3 decades ago you are way behind, if you never heard of Andrew Adler, the editor of the Atlanta Jewish Times who called for Obama to be assassinated because he refused to attack Iran, you are even more behind. If you are unaware of the mysterious chef deaths of Hellery and Bathhouse Barry you truly do not study conspiracies.
Michelle Obama is really Michael Lavaughn Robinson, a man, who can not have children (unless you are some Leftist loon who think a man can have a period and breast feed), They sold the Obama homos as a nice decent heterosexual family like you sell a bag of potato chips at the game.
Likewise they will install whoever they want even with another clear Trump win. They killed JFK, RFK, Martin Luther, and will kill again, because the Zionists have an agenda, war. That is why the senile old puppet is neck deep in war. And I very much doubt he is even alive since we have numerous clear videos of Biden in a rubber mask.
So my advice is take positive action to save yourself. Forget voting, it is all fake as the empire craters, they will use more and more force to take our wealth, to save their system.
I watched a recent PBS show on the Fall of the Roman Empire. A couple of things stuck with me, first it took a really long time. Secondly the emperors became more mad, desperate, delusional, sick, twisted, cruel, and despotic after the peak and into the decline – which surely we are there now, during the time of Caligula.
Newscum from the porn hub of Calipornia fits the bill to a tee, although I do not think he will crucify a bunch of slaves while eating dinner, but you get the picture.
How many Californians fled the sunshine state because of regulations and taxes? Then Covid hit, the Newscum thing locked people in their homes and said to the Los Angeles beach boys – no beach for you! It was so bad hundreds of thousands left for the snow of Idaho. Being a former surfer of SoCal and long time Idahoan, that really struck me – my god – Idaho is cold and snowy. I lived in a central Idaho mountain town, where snow sticks for 6-8 months of the year – why would anyone leave the mild climate and sun and beach?
Freedom and distance from that lunatic Newsom. Elon Musk took his Tesla factory and left. Pretty bad I’d say. So with results like that, I’d say he’s presidential material for sure.
Amerika has peaked decades ago. Twenty years ago I wrote how to estimate the peak of the empire – by using the quality of autos as a metric, I postulated the 1950’s and 1960’s as the peak, right up until the JFK assassination, when the Israelis took him out for opposing their secret nuclear program. (see Michael Collins Piper book Final Judgement)
When the 1970s hit with high inflation, that was definitely a road post on the way to decline. Rome clipped coins and USGov printed fiat – and the inflation caused the insidious decline of the American hard work ethic and created a whole nation addicted to debt and rising home prices. Speculation to beat inflation runs rampant from Wall Street to the Millenial buying crypto with McWages.
Then Ronald Reagan road in on a white horse, and staved off the decline for a decade, but his VP GHW Bush took us into the Gulf War and back into the death spiral. That was our last great war we could win. Now we just flap our lips and shove money for other fools to fight our wars – which completely ruins them as well.
Then we got Slick Willy and the Obamas, followed by the crazy Orange man, and now a senile old pedophile. Wars go on, we fund them when we are 33 trillion in debt. So how can anyone doubt that this will not end well? Trump being political prosecuted during an election cycle is definitely banana republic.
Trump is the white Christian’s last hope of stability before the collapse – and he is in deep with the Jew lobby – who are the embedded cause of our decline. So hope of Trump is a delusion, unless by some miracle, Trump gets in and this time becomes a dictator and runs the snakes out of DC. Not likely, eh? Trump is a Ziowhore like all the rest, so he can not save us.
So what happens next you wonder? I will tell you. The decline will accelerate, and political abuse will increase as the mad emperors become desperate to squeeze every nickel out of your pocket to pay for trillions and trillions and trillions in debt. Their goal is to get fabulously wealthy while you die – asset strip you while you suffer and die from jabs.
No one talks about how debt causes the debauchery. When you are in debt and can not pay, what to do but inflate and use force – and start treating Amerikans like Palestinians – as targets – since the same people running Ukraine and Israel run the United States.
If you all remember the tale of John Titor, from our future, said in 2001 Amerika would have Wacos and Ruby Ridges weekly until Russia nukes the East Coast on March 15th. We are indeed having Fed raids and staged mass shootings on a regular basis.
John Titor said the “country mice” would fight back against the Fed in a second Civil War until Russia nukes us. Washington D.C. and Jacksonville, Fla. would be targeted and taken out by the enemy, leaving Omaha, Neb. as the new U.S. capital. He said you would be only able to travel as far as your bicycle would take you.
So that would be really bad, and like I always say, the worst day in peacetime is always better than the best day in wartime. The tendency of those in power will be to keep their power while having someone or something attack you, keep you off balance with debt, inflation, illegal immigrant crime, Antifa lootings and burnings, California now says they will pay for a storage shed on your property so long as you let a homeless person live there. Once you get it going, then you mandate it.
Which is why Idaho snow and isolation starts to sound really attractive. Winter, 11 months of the year;

I hear you Jack –
I am absolutely at odds over and constantly weighing whether to move from the home/area I thought would be my home forever. I see the influx of people to what was a very rural area. I see the changes brought by these people (e.g., a local disaster called “Floydfest” that imports more than the entire population of my county into the county for a weeklong obnoxious “music festival”). And my intelligence says – move. But my heart keeps me in denial. And – where to move? Where – within this country – can one go that is safe from these people? I have no good answer…
Eric,
When it is our time, it is our time. I have decided I am not going to move. I live in an area where there is an abundance of local farms, clean water, good neighbors, no extreme weather, and pretty views. Insurance and property costs aren’t ridiculous either…at least not yet.
There is no escape from growth or the resettlement of people. All you can do is build yourself a haven somewhere and make that your bubble.
I was hung ho on transporting the familia and I to someplace a bit saner, until I determined there is no such place. I am sticking with the topography I know. It is never a bad idea to have a second location, but it should be viewed as an investment or a second retreat. It should also be easy to get to. If you are sitting on at least 5 acres of land that is usually enough space to ignore the commotion around you. 😊
Eric, you aren’t going to like this observation….
Where to move? Well, you can’t really move. You are tied to an EV charger. As an automotive journalist who now will continually have the ubiquitous EV reviews to perform, you cannot be too far from an EV charger. You will have to remain in range of the lowest range EVs on the market. You are already captured in the EV system by sake of your profession.
Hi J,
Not necessarily. Much as I want to remain in the game, I could prolly give up car reviewing and focus on the issues, instead. Once cars transition into appliances, one won’t need to actually drive them to review them. It’ll just be a matter of: This one has 12 inch touchscreen and that one only has a 10 inch touchscreen . . .

The FUBAR fedgov is now locked into trillion-dollar annual deficits forevermore. Inflation (soft default) is its only plausible strategy to manage our decline. Jerome Powell just announced on Wednesday that they’re going to slash interest rates in 2024 to re-elect the incumbent … and, by extension, to let inflation rip.

Cost of U.S. Wars Since 2001
$8,951,340,462,381
Every hour, taxpayers in United States are paying $93.26 million for Cost of War of Terror.
Daunting statistics, the 9 trillion blown on the illegal and immoral wars since the inside job false flag 911 terrorist attack is still costing the USA 93 million per hour.
There is no recovering from that error. So what is a tyrant to do when saddle with debt up to the eyeballs and no way out? War! Go crazy with more war, double down on this DC beltway insanity and spend more on war.
Sure it’s insane, but got any better ideas? Does it dawn on anyone that our government has gone full Caligula? They have no idea how to solve any problem – so what they are doing to hang onto power – is create ever more crisis and blame everyone but what they are doing.
I present to you Amerika, your President:

Hi Jack,
Speaking of war… I read earlier this morning that the Israelis have so far killed appx. 20,000 people in Gaza. I suppose all of them were “terrorists.”
Deaths in Gaza are approaching one percent of its population. For comparison, that would be over three million dead in the US. How would Americans feel if their attackers cynically blocked a U.N. resolution to stop the slaughter, and just kept on demolishing our cities?
How many Hamas have they killed? Does anyone know? If Hamas is deep underground, then how are they getting any of them while they flatten civilian homes on the surface?
The MSM constantly says 60% dead civilians, are we to assume the other 40% are dead Hamas militants when there is zero evidence of hardly any dead Hamas fighters.
The IDF is not getting hardly any Hamas, they are engaged in a cruel ethnic cleansing based on the Oct. 7th false flag, it was all pre-planned, a staged event to give Israel the moral justification to carpet bomb civilians and push them all out into the Sinai,
Just another reminder of the real purpose of government.
“Gavin Newsom – a far worse thing than the Biden Thing, being much younger and an active Leftist rather than a hack-tool of Leftism”
As much as Trump isn’t the ideal candidate at least he had some good ideas. I wish he would get rid of Ivanka and Jared from his team. I think itz getting worse especially where i live.
I will vote for Trump just so the Communists like Biden and Newsome don’t get to control me.

criminal offenses.
A crazy driver passed me on a city street more than 40 mph, ran a stop sign, darn near hit another car at the intersection, continued to speed on to a location another half a mile away. I called the cops, followed the vehicle to the location where the driver stopped for whatever reason at a residence. You’re a nut at that point, probably drug related.
You can’t be driving like a madman anywhere you go. Somebody could get hurt if you cause an accident. Come on, drive like the ordinary people do.
Of course, if you have an army and an air force, you can bomb and kill people until the cows come home, which happens to be happening every single doggone day these days in December of 2023.
Joe Biden blessed the State of Israel, so it’s going to be okay. If the US can do it all of the time, then Israel can too!
With any luck and hope, 2024 will arrive on time.
The real hell of it is that catastrophic health insurance is actually in the spirit of what health insurance should be—coverage for big, random, unexpected events.
I remember my grandmother referring to her health insurance as “hospitalization insurance.” It wasn’t all that expensive—I think the premiums worked out to about $1.50 a day. But as the name implies, it was to cover you if you were in the hospital. You paid for everything else yourself. And it paid for you to be in a “semi private” room at the most.
Perhaps we wouldn’t be having the whole debate if this were still around…
While visiting my father-in-law at a nursing home/hospice facility, a female patient/resident in another room there was expressing vocally her libido feelings.
Her words: Fuck you, Captain Cocksucker…
She was suffering from severe dementia.
And some other expletives that I can’t remember anymore. Will never forget those words.
Obviously prescient words directed at the stupid shithead Joe Biden or whatever you want to call him or whatever it is anymore.
Amen, Bryce –
I would buy a catastrophic policy – with a very high deductible – if such were available. Because that’s all I need. I have no dependents and if I croak, Dawn is taken care of. But it’s be worth a couple hundred bucks annually, say, to buy coverage for an extreme/unlikely emergency event such as a chainsaw accident or heart attack, etc.
Otherwise, I’ll roll with the punches!
The thing that most people are concerned about isn’t paying $25 for a prescription, or even $250 for an office visit and lab tests—it’s $25,000 or even $250,000 for an operation and hospital stay. And the bulk of that is during the last year of your life.
Indeed, Bryce –
I know I am saying this from the vantage point of relative youth and health, but: I’m not living my life in fear of what if and paying for just-in-case. In fact, were it not for all this being forced to pay for what if (and assuming people saved what they weren’t forced to spend) most people could afford to pay for the care they might need at the end of their lives.
Well I’m NOT at a vantage point of relative youth and health, 69 with Rheumatoid arthritis, but I’ve still quit the game. No one gets out of this alive. I was offered treatment in the form of biologics, that could be had for the “bargain” price of 60k per year. I refused. The doctor said I could get funding for it. I told her I would not be a party to such extortion, regardless how well it worked. And fired her. I quit eating sugar, and take a number of supplements. My condition has slightly worsened over the last 3 years, but I’m old, and getting older, so I’m not surprised. Such is life, and death.
Rheumatoid is a nasty one. Autoimmune. Quitting sugar is the best, maybe an all meat diet, zero carbs at all. My aunt had it, boy its rough.
More cases of the government stealing directly from people’s bank accounts…and more fraud….

Just an FYI when it comes to the health insurance mandates by state.
There are currently six states that impose a penalty or “shared responsibility” for not having a health insurance plan: CA, DC, MA, NJ, RI, and VT. Some of them are based on a fixed fee per taxpayer/dependent others base it off your adjusted gross income…the higher the income, the higher the penalty.
These penalties are built into the total tax on your state return and are treated as unpaid taxes which the state will easily levy against your checking or savings account if left unsettled.
Expect this to become more popular as the years roll because Uncle Sam’s little brother is always looking at new ways to separate the state’s residents and their wallets.
I believe WA State now mandates some kind of catastrophic care policy for residents. Governor Kirkland signed it into law and there was a grace period, but that grace period may have expired if it was not extended again.
Hi Roscoe,
I believe that most (if not all) of the catastrophic insurance agents pulled out of the state by 2022. I am not aware of any penalties associated for not having it though. I would not be surprised if they look at bringing it back sometime in the future.
WA Cares program. .58% of your pay, forever, to earn (available only after contributing for 10 years) a LIFETIME benefit of … $36,500
Woo what a deal! Another grifter-thon Washington State program. Launch, hire directors, staff, flunkies etc to admin this joke. “Hire lotsa people to do not much, that’s what WA government is all about!” (Think Hokie Pokie)
Awful, RG –
The net continues to cinch. I increasingly contemplate the option of an RV and some land in the middle of nowhere.
Unfortunately, Eric, there is only about a handful of countries where you can truly “own” land…Cayman, T&C, Dominica, Malta, Monaco, Croatia, and the UAE….there may be a few more, but I think they can only be counted on two hands. They also pretty expensive to get into. Although, a $100K investment will get you a second passport to Dominica…something to consider. They also have a French bakery on the island to boot. 🙂
Croatia for the win. You can rent in seaside towns for 1100 euro a month, gorgeous places neat clean orderly. My daughter and fam’s favorite place for vacation she would easily move there once the grandson is launched.
In my experience, of the list mentioned, the best-cost-to-kool “coefficient” would be Croatia.
Of the list, too many are “sand bar” hurricane bait countries..and Monaco is embarrassing,
to reside in if you don’t have some weird black diamond jubilee 70k/mo spending acct.
I have a Very Kool place I like a lot, unfortunately, the once wild areas are suffering encroachment by Road Construction!!
It appears the dreaded “epauto/eisenhower highway act variant 2.0 virus”
is overrunning all former rural areas!!
The once pristine forest/jungle now possesses an ominous Sean Connery “Medicine Man movie” Garden of Eden encroachment aspect…:(
Does anyone know a vaccine for this dreaded disease??
So now a government can ‘confiscate’ money direct from the plebs bank account with no court judgement!
Nothing like living in the land of the free and home of the sucker!
That’s why our armed forces are 5, 6 thousand miles away, protecting our freedoms here in the USSofA. BTW in our state we will soon be required to register all banned weapons with the state. Our Armed forces in action protecting our freedoms here. HA, ha, ha, the jokes on us.
Direct withdrawal from your bank account by the government in CA has been happening for quite a while. About 13 years ago a friend of mine had an old motorcycle (76 Yamaha 750) he stopped riding parked in his side yard. He had been receiving letters of overdue registration but ignored them since he was not riding the bike. Then he noticed his bank account had been tapped by the state of Marxism for the overdue registration. I asked him how they could do that, he said he paid his taxes direct by check, so they had his bank routing number and I guess his bank was more than willing to comply.
Hi Hans,
California would have needed to serve his bank with a lien first. Also, if he had direct deposit of a refund in the past most states (and the IRS) will hold onto this information, which makes getting the lien that much easier because they know who to serve.
I always advise clients to setup a subaccount that is not directly tied to your main operating account. Nothing should ever be directly debited or deposited into the main account. Keep the subaccount at the same bank and make transfers back and forth when needed. The subaccount should hold about $100 tops (although I usually keep around $5 in mine).
Don’t keep the main account in a “too big to fail” bank with a presence in the State of California and subject to the state’s laws.
I keep our main accounts in credit unions chartered to operate only in Texas ever since we lived in WA State where I suspect the “too big to fail” bank provided my wife’s employer, the largest private payroll in the county and the bank’s biggest customer in SW WA State, with our balance information on a regular basis.
EBay and Paypal go through the credit union account I maintain in WA State and subject to 9th Circuit rulings. Credit card companies never get any routing/account numbers. I don’t have any “modern” e-payment accounts like Zelle, Venmo, or Apple Pay.
Hi Raider Girl,
I am actually the subject of this article and yes, the bank was served with a lien. That’s when I researched the law and found the conflicting info. I would love to hear more about this sub-account you mentioned.
Banks are agents of the State and FedGov. They will freeze your account on a phone call from either.
This week, Fed head Jerome Powell suddenly ‘pivoted’ to discussing possible rate cuts, despite the Fed’s inflation measures holding around 4 percent, way above its 2 percent target.
Pundits promptly claimed that Powell’s inexplicable volte face was in response to a tap on the shoulder from the White House: re-elect the incumbent … or else.
Today Zerohedge, paraphrasing a Goldman Sachs analysis, outlined a very unpleasant-sounding corollary:
‘If indeed the Fed has turned political and pivoted this week in response to demands by the Biden admin, then should Trump win in November, one can be certain that the Fed will make the president’s life a living hell (something Bill Dudley urged back in 2019 in his infamous 2019 Bloomberg op-ed, ‘The Fed Shouldn’t Enable Donald Trump’).
‘As such, it is virtually certain that the Fed will do everything in its power to send the US into a recession as soon as practical after Trump wins in November 2024.’
https://archive.ph/RfTWh
Horrid. Disgusting. Would they actually do that? Hell yeah, they would. They just proved it this week.

How could Biden lean on Chairman Powell though? One, Biden didn’t appoint him; Trump did, so he has no political debt to Biden. Two, the Fed is supposed to be independent; indeed, when Ronald Reagan was POTUS, he said that the Fed had its own agenda, and that he had no control over it.
‘When the Fed made a show of resistance in 1965, [6 ft 4 in] Lyndon Johnson summoned William McChesney Martin, the Fed chairman, to his Texas ranch and physically shoved him around his living room, yelling in his face, “Boys are dying in Vietnam, and Bill Martin doesn’t care.”

‘Biden’ himself can’t shove Powell around. But he’s got thugs and fixers who can. ‘Biden’ plays at least as dirty as LBJ.
Newsom’s wife slept with the repulsive Harvey Weinstein so she could be in the movies. These people are literally whores.
After the fact she claimed it was rape… but didn’t they all? She didn’t file a police report at the time.
You only need to change the name from Brown to Newsome (and from Carter to Biden).
I am Governor Jerry Brown
My aura smiles and never frowns
Soon, I will be president
Carter power will soon go away
I will be Führer one day
I will command all of you
Your kids will meditate in school
Your kids will meditate in school
[Chorus]
California über alles
California über alles
Über alles, California
Über alles, California
[Verse 2]
Zen fascists will control you
One-hundred percent natural
You will jog for the master race
And always wear the happy face
Close your eyes, can’t happen here
Big Bro on white horse is near
The hippies won’t come back, you say
Mellow out, or you will pay
Mellow out, or you will pay
You might also like
[Chorus]
California über alles
California über alles
Über alles, California
Über alles, California
[Bridge]
Now it is 1984
Knock-knock at your front door
It’s the suede denim secret police
They have come for your uncool niece
Come quietly to the camp
You’d look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don’t you worry, it’s only a shower
For your clothes, here’s a pretty flower
Die! On organic poison gas
Serpent’s egg’s already hatched
You will croak, you little clown
When you mess with President Brown
When you mess with President Brown
[Chorus]
California über alles
California über alles
Über alles, California
Über alles, California

Some years ago there was a petition online to kick California out of the union. That needs to take on new urgency.
Yep. I’d add NY, MA, and NJ. And I’d put Chicago on probation. I’d give Detroit to the Canadians but they don’t want it either.
Madison, WI needs to be on the probation list as well.

Probably the most dramatic reporting I can recall in newspapers (before they became irrelevant) was in Autumn 1989, when communist Eastern Europe fell.
Czechs downed tools and defiantly stood in the street for two hours to resist their regime. Others rode ‘freedom trains’ to the West. On 9 Nov 1989, the gates were thrown open, and dazed East Berliners walked through West Berlin, as West Germans handed them money.
What no school child is taught is that US states were to be like European states — sovereign, except for limited powers they designated to the DC entity. So that if one state become oppressive, citizens could vote with their feet and leave.
All that was gone with the wind in 1865. With a fedgov gone feral, there’s no place to run except outside the borders. And like the former Soviet Union, the US now has an exit tax.

terroristsFounders in 1776Hi Jim,
Too bad the European states tossed their sovereignty overboard with the formation of the European Union. They seem to be a step or two ahead of the USSA in terms of ruling over the serfs by unaccountable elites.
Yep. Only in Asia, LatAm, Africa do somewhat sovereign states exist now.
A hearty welcome [/sarc] to the EU’s newest candidate, Ukraine, after the EU unfroze 10 billion euros to induce Hungary to drop its objection.
@Eric – If you know anyone who is plugged in sufficiently to know Big Mike’s schedule these days, ask them where he was the week of Nov. 6-10.
I think I stumbled on evidence of a rally in Milwaukee, WI near the end of that week, at the UW Milwaukee Panther’s basketball arena, while we were in town playing tourist.
If Biden assumes room temperature before the South Carolina primary, it won’t be Newsom accepting the nomination at the convention next year.
Oh, and Wisconsin is bad. Even the Harley Davidson museum had a whole exhibit devoted to the childrens book “My Papi Has A Motorcycle”.
Papi also has a big Ford truck and loan delinquency notices piling up.
What’s sad is that most people can’t even conceive of a different system. By pushing costs up to 18% of GDP they’ve basically made it impossible for an alternative. Healthcare as a charity is right out the window, even though they pretend to be charitable institutions.
And it is in the best interest of the powers in charge to make it unworkable. That way they can swoop in and promise salvation, if you’ll just vote for them instead of that other guy who also claims to be a savior.
Healthcare is a racket.
It appears that everything is becoming a racket.

Just looking at the way Gavin Newsom ruled California during COVID hysteria gives one an idea of what he’ll be like if he should one day become President. He’d likely be the American version of Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, who ruled as a tyrant himself the past few years. Remember him freezing the bank accounts of Canadian truckers who protested his draconian COVID jab mandates and that of people who supported the truckers? Newsom would undoubtedly LOVE to be an American Justin Trudeau, though he insists he’s not running for President. We shall see.
I agree. Newsome seemed to relish his daily radio spots, admonishing people basically not to even think about trying to live life because using his most oft repeated phrase “we’re not out of the woods yet” . California County health officers ruled us with an iron fist, arresting socal beach goers and shutting down golf courses and police taping kiddie play areas like they were a crime scene. You can see same glint in his eyes that Trudeau has. He just cannot wait to get power over us.
His worst phrase is “Whether you like it or not”, the ultimate tyrant’s phrase.
Render unto Newsom’s what is Newsom’s and render unto God which is God’s. Both happen to be the same.
Shared responsibility translates to code words that amount to nothing more than extortion, swindles happen all of the time.
We’re going to make sure you have nothing and we’ll be very happy about it.
You won’t, but that is just too bad.
Shooting and killing Gazans doesn’t really pay that much, just rob bank accounts, no matter who they are or where they are.
War costs too much, financial ruin is the easy way to kill. You’ll be lucky to be alive.
I won’t cut you deep, just continuously. It all just keeps on getting worse and worse.

Life is not fair.
Gavin will surely burn in hell for robbing Peter to pay Paul.

It does point out the US capitol has for all practical purposes moved to Tel Aviv. 3 billion fedpaper per year US Foreign Aid coming back to US campaigns has paid off well.
The Israeli Defense Forces should do the Maccabee routine and all commit suicide.
In fact, all Jews should commit suicide, have to save humanity somehow.
We had to kill all Jews to save all Jews.

The media headline is that they were “accidentally” killed. Oopsy. See what you made us do.
My late Grandfather said something when I was 8, in reference to the death of LBJ. He said ‘you can’t polish a turd’, and the same applies to the ones we have in office now, as well.
Gavin is the shiniest polished turd out there. Hands down.
Maybe not as bright as the Biden polished turd, it does take time.
You can make stuff up all you want, but you can’t make this stuff up.

One thing’s for sure, our overlords & many of their henchmen are a cunning sneaky & crafty lot.
All the TDS shit-tards out there will vote for Dickless NumbScum AdNauseum, you can bet on it.
Some psychopaths are worse than others (Newsom), but they are all still psychopaths. They are all wholly dependent upon their assumption of authority to kill you if you disobey. And to steal your money if you don’t “voluntarily” give it up. Can’t wait until those 85k new IRS agents get in full swing.
With the pending registration of the CTA beginning 1/1/24 for every small business owner in America you can bet the US Treasury’s Criminal Action Division will be in full swing. I am just really disappointed in myself that I didn’t see this coming. I should know better. Now we know why they have so much ammo.
I remember during a press conference one young ‘lady’ applicant saying if you cheat the government “Your Going Down! buddy! “
Hi Ken,
“Cheat the government”. . . as if we were the thieves for attempting to hold onto our money, which “the government” didn’t earn. The inversion of morality (and language) is astounding.
Exactly!
Ya know there is a bible passage that goes something like this
Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars. Render unto God what is Gods.
Well God controls my life,,, but every paycheck I have earned had my name,,, not Ceasars.
Keeping what we earn is not theft no matter how you look at it.
The whole notion of Nation/States post Treaties of Westphalia 1648 needs to go into the ashbin of history. It has institutionalized the idea of predatory overlords that have no interest in the wellbeing of the people that live in a given area. It basically said the entire planet is to be subdivided into various “governments”. No area is exempt.
An interesting case in point is happening right now. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire the Brits took over the area called Palestine. When the Brits were driven out the U.N. said that Jews had title to the land despite it being occupied by clans that had been there for centuries. However, those clans were without Government so the U.N. imposed on and European Jews happily filled the role.
The idea of not having government is simply not allowed since 1648. It will take an immense sea change in thinking to reverse course. I doubt we’ll see it in our lifetimes. However, I never thought the Soviet Union would fall without a shot being fired so there may be hope after all.
And how were the Brits driven out? Jewish terrorism. They invented it.
‘California will collect what the feds say you owe, according to a reader — who says he just had his federal “shared responsibility” fine collected directly from his bank account.’ — eric
When I was running a business, the State of Taxachusetts (where I had NO business presence) dunned me for sales tax on goods I imported through the port of Boston. Since their claim had no legal basis, I ignored it. They proceeded to levy the money — a four-figure sum — from my JPMorgan Chase business account.
The law says that a state government other than one’s own state of residence is obliged to go to court to collect an alleged debt. But practically speaking, regional and national banks are their supine handmaidens. They don’t need no stinkin’ laws.
A purely intrastate bank such as a local credit union might not have complied so readily with a levy order from out of state. A California resident wanting at least one thin defense against Newsom’s red-guard looting would need an out-of-state account in a bank that has no branches in Commiefornia.
There’s a saying in comedy: Never punch down. Too bad government bureaucrats have no sense of humor or they might cut small business owners some slack once in a while.

While getting the hell out of CA would be best remedy, this is most excellent advice!
Direct deposit is evil. The only thing banks care about is that you have a continuing direct deposit account – preferably with govt money refueling it. That is the holy grail of society – a direct deposit account with government money (SS, SSI, welfare). It’s a money spigot that never turns off. You peons who deposit private money can easily stop depositing and then what will banks do? That’s why banks require direct deposits for checking accounts and will make you pay more fees if you don’t have DD. Direct deposits are the forerunner of CBDC.
Unfortunately, I don’t think Social Security does paper checks anymore. Pretty sure that direct deposit is the only option.
The terrible insanity we’ve experienced since 2020–including the “shared responsibility” thievery–is the result of a seismic shift in America’s usury-based monetary system.
I’ve had to re-read Richard Hoskin’s “War Cycles, Peace Cycles” to get a grip on how it’s playing out, but it all becomes clear when you realize that as white, middle-class America ages, shrinks (i.e. fertility is below replacement rates) and becomes more heavily indebted, banks have fewer prospects for lending more money into circulation. It explains why the 2020 scamdemic was needed as a catalyst to force into play the new long-term usury cycle.
It also explains why massive immigration is being encouraged (to introduce new potential debtors who enter the economy with a clean slate), why the old guard, i.e. whites, are being squeezed into oblivion (their lending potential is diminishing), why taxes are increasing (to remove excess money from circulation and facilitate lending) and why wars are breaking out everywhere (it helps facilitate even more new loans).
I just asked Bing AI to break down the average debt of white, black and Hispanic Americans. Turns out the average white household has about $150,000 in debt, blacks $98,000 and Hispanics just $37,000. The latter statistic explains why our southern border is being inundated (massive lending potential) and why blacks–who mainly use cash–are being pandered to on virtually every TV commercial (to prepare them for enhanced credit lending, as they currently have the lowest credit card balance/use of all races).
Without the steps being taken by the powers-that-be right now, the usury system would almost assuredly collapse. Of course there are lots of moving parts here, but when you examine it from the perspective of “follow the money trail” it all makes sense.
You draw a very interesting conclusion, Jason:
“and why blacks–who mainly use cash–are being pandered to on virtually every TV commercial (to prepare them for enhanced credit lending, as they currently have the lowest credit card balance/use of all races).”
Not sure how that works as each ‘immigrant’ receives about $3000 immediately and $2000 per month from the US treasury,,,, while poor grandma, (whom we worried about so much during the covid scam), receives about $1400 SS per month and she and her husband paid the ‘voluntary contribution’ their entire lives and she catches all the flak for milking the system.
So the, (illegals), take a loan then pay it back with government confiscated funds? Exactly how does that increase the wealth of the nation?
As for the Black community having the lowest credit card balance it may show they know how to handle their funds better than Whites that are trying to live the life of Riley impressing their neighbors on the income constantly lowering from inflation caused by the governments printing mania.
Soon we’re going to see a blowoff and crash of debt like never seen before and from past history it’s doubtful we will learn from it.
Ken, it works the same way immigration has always worked, viz. the illegals will eventually be integrated into the system and they’ll become citizens. It doesn’t happen overnight.
I don’t think this particular group of illegals want anything to do with integration. Most hate our guts. They’re here for the cash and will likely leave when the cash stops flowing. Just saying.

Decades ago, when it offered political pluralism, California was considered an innovative, bellwether state.
But now that it’s under East German-style one-party rule, California is as hidebound as any socialist Peoples Republic. Now it’s legislating Obamacare at the state level. That’s so 2010, bro.
