This is a Christmas Diaper Report. Or – rather – a report about Diapering activity while Christmas shopping the other day. It seems Diapering is more prevalent in some stores while slim-to-nonexistent at others.
But which – and why?
At Home Depot and Lowes, things looked pretty normal in that there were almost no abnormal people in evidence. But at Goodwill and the local hipster organic food supermarket (Earth Fare) in my area, it appears one can always count on seeing at least a few mentally ill people adamantly clinging to the look that was popular a couple of years back. It’s almost like seeing someone still wearing bell bottom cord and platform shoes in the ’80s.
Without the humorous element.
At Earth Fare, for instance, we saw the sad sight of a cashier who was wearing her garment as if it were 2021 and she had to wear it. She appeared to be in her 20s and so she wasn’t wearing that thing over her face because she was “at risk.” And even if she were, wearing that thing reduced her “risk” to the same extent that wrapping a string around an anvil tossed overboard will reduce the anvil’s risk of sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
It is possible, come to think of it, that she was “at risk” – having allowed herself to be injected with drugs that destroyed her immune system.
It is probably generally true that everyone you see who is still wearing what amounts to an amulet was injected with the drugs that did just that.
Even if so, wearing that thing over her face would serve a psychological purpose only. A powerful one. One so powerful it overrides her eyes as well as her mind in that – surely – she can see almost everyone else is not wearing a face amulet and isn’t doubling over in death, right before her eyes. It is obvious there is nothing to worry about – especially for a girl in her 20s, who is as likely to die from catching a cold as the tide not coming in tomorrow.
And yet she wears the amulet.
Other wearers could be seen at Goodwill, including a young guy behind the counter. He is also as likely to die from catching a cold as a midget is likely to be a first-round draft pick for the Lakers.
Don’t they know the all-clear has been sounded? Can’t they see it’s safe to show their faces again?
Yes, of course. They do know it. And – obviously – they can see it.
So what accounts for it?
It has to be politics.
The same kind of politics that had people wearing devices in other times and places – to show where they stood, politically. In revolutionary France, it was the cockade of the Jacobins; even the king wore it (though it didn’t keep him safe, either). In revolutionary Germany, it was the armband – and it stood for essentially the same politics. The French Revolution being fundamentally a socialist (and nationalist) revolution, too. Both revolutions, it is interesting to observe, had tripartite slogans. And they both amounted to the same thing, too.
And here, as well. 
There was a second American Revolution that began about three years ago. Its outcome has yet to be determined. Its revolutionaries are the ones you can still see wearing the symbol of their movement. It shows us the movement hasn’t yet been defeated; it is merely temporarily, sullenly quiescent.
It bides its time.
And time is running out. For them – or for us.
The events of the next 11 months will determine which of us has run out of time. Will there be another 1789 (or 1933)? It seems a fait accompli. The currently quiescent and biding their time revolutionaries will not abide what they see as a counter-revolution (one with an orange nimbus) and will become most non-quiescent if the glow waxes rather than wanes. On the other hand, what will occur if the revolution that began in 2020 is cemented in 2024?
It seems either way there will be a revolution of one kind or another.
Reason and forbearance (on both sides) might have prevented it. But – as in 1789 (and 1932) that seems as antiquary and quaint, almost, as knee britches and Gemütlichkeit.

The amount of the debt is surreal to many (including me). It seems it can be raised without limit – or consequences. This is “modern monetary theory.” I doubt very much it’s a good one.

Keep the Diaper reports coming! This is nowhere over. In my county, masks are required in all medical facilities, including for visitors. In fact, there is a standing order that all medical facilities shall require masking every year from the Fall through the Spring until the health order is rescinded. They are trying to make masking at clinics and hospitals the new normal, like the TSA at airports.
I was not allowed to visit my sick aunt in the ICU last week. I let the guard, nurses, and head nurse have it. About 30 minutes of me calling them sheep, slaves, order followers, idiots…asking how many “Covid” patients they murdered with the remdesivir/sedative/ventilator death combo, and so on. They were ready to call the police on me if I didn’t leave. I finally left. I am working on a lawsuit to try to end the order…but really, if just 5-10% of the visitors and employees entering a facility said No to the mask, this would all end.
I’m guessing, that in a lawsuit, the judge would declare you have no standing.
If you’d gotten arrested, then maybe you’d have, “standing”?

The lack of standing argument wouldn’t work in this case. The health order is in place through March of 2024 (not moot) and will continue in place every year from Nov 1 – March 31 until rescinded. I entered a medical facility and was denied entry to visit my sick aunt (injury) without a mask. An order by a judge striking down the mask order would redress my injury.
If she leaves the hospital – which could then raise a mootness challenge – she will be transferred to a rehab facility for a month that likely requires masking as well.
I am not optimistic that a judge will side with me. My guess is a judge will say one of two things – that masking to prevent spread in medical facilities is a “rational” measure within the power of the health officer and/or that you (me) did not seek an exemption to the mask requirement before trying to enter the ICU.
I will not invoke an exemption. Seeking an exemption only reinforces the idea that masking in facilities is the norm. It’s like going along with the system, similar to opting out of the TSA body scanner and requesting a pat down instead. You are still playing their game by their rules.

Last week I had some business with a local copy shop. Two people working, and of course I get the one masked up. I have to say it was a little refreshing not having to engage in any small talk or anything outside of the minimum necessary to complete the transaction, but I think if that’s the default level of interaction she’ll receive it’s just going to make her less amenable to enjoying her job or capitalism in general.
On one hand I feel like I should be as friendly and happy to interact with a masked individual as possible, just to lead by example and show that most transactions are mutually beneficial and the free market is just another social platform. On the other hand, most of the time when I try to strike up a conversation with a masked individual the response is very cold and distant anyway. What a way to go through life.
You should say something to any masked individual that serves you or is standing in line next to you, especially the cashier workers. They should be made to feel comfortable in a mask, not normal.
Just ask them: why are you wearing a mask? Do not accept their bogus responses: allergies (never wore mask for allergies before 2020, plastic fibers of mask promote allergies, what quack doctor prescribes a mask for allergies, and mask cannot protect against allergies), I have a cold or recovering from cold (wearing mask makes you more contagious as you are breathing or reingesting your own exhaled CO2), or I live with a vulnerable relative (we all do!).

I recently was forced to go to my local county government Taj Mahal ($13 million courthouse for a county of about 4,000 people) to protest a tax bill for a vehicle I traded off back in 2022. That office still had the holy plexiglass up, which pissed me off even more. A few days later, I was going back to pay my vehicle taxes (Kentucky sucks, pay taxes when you buy a vehicle, every year you own a vehicle, and when you sell a vehicle), but the Taj Mahal was closed! It wasn’t a holiday of any kind, but I later figured out that it was Inauguration Day for the governor, Andy the Tyrant, so all state and county offices were closed. Pissed me off, so the next day I went to my neighboring county where I have been paying vehicle taxes in protest of the Taj Mahal for several years. It is a breath of fresh air over there! No need to pass through a metal detector, no plexiglass, and the workers are generally pleasant. In and out in 5 minutes, it would have taken over 5 minutes just to get through the armed government workers manning the metal detector at my Taj Mahal. Have to strip down naked to prove I’m not carrying nail clippers.

My wife is no science whiz but she immediately gasped “what are they doing!” I reminded her “they” want us dead. The local news regularly reports on the latest strain of this/that/the other with the canned videos old young and in between getting jabbed.

At a local grocery store they had until recently the “Sneeze Guards” still up at their cash registers and I was told workers told management they wanted them to stay, well a couple weeks ago management took them down. I asked a cashier who wanted them to have been left up if she knew that the survival rate was over 99.6% for all age groups? Apparently not.

The best government is no government and even that may not work. Palestinians did it for 2000 years until the little hats in London, DC and Tel Aviv decided they’d be better off eliminated.
Honestly, Ken, keep an open mind. 50 plus smaller governments would most assuredly be better than what we have now, one massive empire propping up 50 tyrannies. I love anarchy in theory but every atomized individual is easy meat for a band of bandits.
Government among humans is as natural as venereal disease, it can not be eradicated but as a sovereign individual you can take intelligent steps to protect yourself.
For whatever it’s worth, I’ve come to believe a sort of monarchy where a natural elite self selects is about as good as it gets. Most humans are content and happy being serfs and subjects. An intelligent self interested nobility will be corrupt to an optimum level. Unfortunately that arrangement tends inevitably to hereditary nobility with weak, greedy, venal fools stepping into daddy’s business/fiefdom.

If you are counting on the Republican Party in this state to lead an independence movement, you are going to be waiting a long time.
Yes Texas property taxes are already insane. Anyone counting on this state for anything different than the steady red to blue shift is misinformed.
