There is a reason why “masks” are still a common sight outside of the surgical suite – and insane asylums. It is because the lies that fomented the mass hysteria that led to “masking” – which was offered up as a kind of universal panacea to ward off the cold that constituted no more threat to most people than . . . a cold – have yet to be officially, formally repudiated.
And on account of this, there are still people who believe them. You can tell who they are by looking at their faces – which you can’t see because they’re still wearing a “mask.” I saw one such at my gym the other day. He appeared to be a guy in his mid-late 30s and appeared to be fit and in good health. Yet he was wearing a “mask” over his face – while working out. This is not unlike trying to pee through your underwear. Most people don’t do that. But some people do try to breathe through what amounts to facial underwear. 
Even while exercising.
You wonder (well, I do) about the state of mind of such people. There were probably 50 others working out at the gym that day and none of them was wearing facial underwear. Did this one guy who was not notice this? It is hard to imagine that he didn’t. And – having noticed that literally no one else in the gym was wearing facial underwear – did it not cross his mind that, perhaps, there is no good reason to be wearing facial underwear?
After all, there is no longer a “mandate” to wear them – and almost no social pressure. The people who are still wearing facial underwear are now in the interesting position the people who refused to wear facial underwear were circa late 2020-2021. They are a lonely minority, with the main difference being they are free to wear their facial underwear wherever they like and no one berates them or excludes them for wearing their facial underwear.
One wonders (I do) whether these people see the incongruity. The contrast between the live-and-let-live attitude of the majority of people who have taken off their facial underwear but are not badgering the ones still wearing facial underwear – and the bellicose attitude (and actions) of those who wore facial underwear toward those who did not.
Probably not.
Probably because these people who are still wearing facial underwear still believe the lies they were told. And want to believe them – because it is not easy to come to grips with having been lied to on the scale that people were lied to during the event that was marketed as a “pandemic,” in order to get them to accept absurdities (per Voltaire).
It is easier to continue to believe – rather than face the truth. 
And how can that truth be faced when it is still very easy for those who do not want to face it to continue to believe the lies they were told, clinging to them with the same kind of psychic desperation that people who want to believe the Orange Man is good – in spite of all the bad – because the liars they trusted (and still do) refuse to tell them the truth?
Has the senile old grifter come out and publicly apologized for telling people not only that they should but that it was morally obligatory (as well as mandatory) to wear facial underwear because doing so would “stop the spread”? Have the – hearty cough – “public health authorities” come out and apologized for the same? Have they acknowledged that they were wrong – and that those who questioned the medical efficacy of forcing people who weren’t sick to wear facial underwear – for what felt like forever – were right? 
For that matter, has the Orange Man admitted his “beautiful vaccines” were in fact mRNA drugs that did nothing to immunize people against the cold they were told threatened to kill them and anyone they came in contact with if they decided to not get (sic) “vaccinated”?
Nope.
So, even though the truth has spread and most people understand they were lied to, there are still lots of people who choose to believe the lies they were told.
You can tell who they are, too. Just take a look at them.

On Thursday I went to the lady who cuts what little hair I have left. In the chair an elderly gentleman. His wife was waiting –sitting there with a face diaper. Eric, thank you for the regular Diaper Reports. I am sure many of your readers who live in small towns in red states might wonder why you are still writing about masks…but for those of us who live in big blue towns, we still see masks everywhere, at least 10-15% at any store, including in cars driving alone and while riding bicycles and scooters.
I want to add that I make it a point to confront maskers and make them feel the way they tried to make me feel four years ago. I don’t just ask them why they are wearing a mask. I don’t accept their responses and I continue arguing with them until they run away. I get closer physically with each statement. They see the anger in my face. Someone said I look the enraged version of the “close talker” on Seinfeld. Why? For my kids, their generation and the generations after. My kids broke down during the lockdowns, when their regular lives were shutdown, even as we tried to live as free as possible, for no God damn reason. I think of them every time I see a mask weirdo around me. I can’t let it go. I have to do it for my kids. These maskers make it easier for the public health commies to bring back mask mandates, lockdowns, and other tyranny. Why is it so hard to confront these weirdos and put them on the spot? If you can’t ask them a simple: ‘why are you wearing a mask?’ question, then you are being a coward.

I won’t let it go, either – for the same reasons. And I I live in s small town, too. Even so, I still see at least a few of these “maskers” every time I go to the one-stoplight county seat. And if I go the 30 miles to Roanoke, I always see several more. And every time I do see one, the anger and disgust wells up in me.

As is often the case, human nature can offer some likely explanations. There are at least two major factors at play here that I believe explains why they behave this way. Firstly, humans have a tendency to immediately enter a state of denial when they realize how foolishly the have behaved after discovering the facts & the truth. The embarrassment they feel is too difficult to bear, so they attempt to deny and dismiss the reality by simply ignoring it. These people are hypocrites of the worst kind, and as a related problem their numbers are growing by leaps and bounds in today’s world where we find a lack of intellectual honesty.
The second factor is one that’s so obvious, but seemingly hardly ever mentioned; that’s the people who actually benefit from a fake pandemic, along with those people who take their marching orders from the deep state which they follow to the letter. And just who are they? I think most here already know that answer.
One of the dumbest memories I have of all this is my dance fitness class, which I take at the community center in my city. It was closed, of course, during the “lockdown,” but reopened with masks required when you entered the building, paid at the desk and walked upstairs to the dance studio. Then, you could take them off to exercise. So, masks needed while you were calmly walking inside and up the stairs, but not necessary when you are jumping around and panting. Okaaay.
Once that piece of nonsense was gone, I returned to class and saw the instructors were still wearing masks. I asked about it and they said since they were unwilling to share their “vaccination status,” they had to wear them in the building at all times. Customers were not required to do this to ditch the face diaper, only the employees. One poor dance teacher was having a hard time breathing and kept lowering hers and then putting it back up. My position in the studio gave me a good view of the door, so I told her to take the damn thing off and I would give her a hand signal if anyone official came walking down the hall. Finally, after a month of that BS, the diapers disappeared except for the occasional weirdo who would wear one voluntarily.
Even with the media hair-on-fire reports about covid coming back, I am happy to say no one I shop at, work for and otherwise interact with in Central Indiana has tried to bring back the face diaper, not even medical facilities.
As I said in early 2020 before the forced masking and mandates…

What really gets me is that virtually all of the people I know who wore the leper mask and who also took the clot shot [About 95% of the maskers I know also took the shot] have ALL had the relabeled flu at least 3 times (Several have had it 5 times!) and yet somehow STILL to this day maintain the Kabuki that they played along with “kept them safe”, and that the relabeled common flu is a “bioweapon created in China” -even though not a one of these people had any symptoms which were worse than the common flu nor suffered any ill effects from having the flu, much less had to be hospitalized or buried due to it.
Of course their response when confronted is “Had we not ‘taken those precautions’ we would have had more severe symptoms or died”. But of course, they can not offer one iota of scientific proof that those “precautions” are capable of providing such a benefit. And it’s very amusing to see the look on their faces as well as to hear the silence when I mention that I never wore a mask, and certainly never took any shots but yet somehow never got “The Rona” nor even a cold.
And now those same people are starting to manifest severe symptoms and even death from the injectable “precaution” that they took. I am convinced that there is no hope of these people ever “coming around”, and likely no hope of them living long healthy lives, as one of the “precautions” they took is a veritable ticking time bomb coursing through their veins and organs.
I hate to say it, but I am getting to the point where I no longer even feel sorry for the ones who have come down with turbo cancer or blood clots or myocarditis [etc.], or even the ones who have died. It may seem cold, but I tend to view these people as intellectually hopeless and a detriment to humankind who are just reaping the fruits of what they’ve sown. And the more so because they all advocated that WE be forced to comply with their insanity much in the same way the LGBTFUs and liberals demand that we comply with their insanity and pretend that they are not demented perverts or that that someone who was born with a dick and nut sack is a “woman” if he in his insanity believes he is.

All of my co-workers who took the clot shot have had COVID multiple times. Meanwhile, I was able to skirt around the shot with a religious exemption. Kept my job during those years but had to wear the face diaper (ugh) while working. What a disgusting experience that was: Breathing my own spit and all, and something make from China, no less. But, it was better than being jobless, as “go find another job somewhere else” was not an option. Since I have been researching conspiracies for many decades, ever since Al Gore invented the internets, I have noticed a severe degradation in search engine results, especially Google, which is now worthless.

Just when I thought it was safe to go outside. Went to Laughlin last weekend, stayed at the Edgewater. Hadn’t stayed at that property in 30+ years. Two months ago we stayed at Harrahs and saw nary a mask-tard.
Edgewater was decent for a 50 year old property. Downside, about 20-25% of the staff wearing masks at all times. Was disgusted to see a couple otherwise gorgeous cocktail waitresses covering their faces, but it was hilarious watching the valets run across the parking lot in 90 degree temps, straining in a mask. One of the water taxi drivers wore one, which was just beyond pathetic. Even some of the pool attendants outdoors wore the cough cloth.
Also witnessed a stunning example of Idiocracy 2.0.. A Las Vegas donut store named PinkBox has a franchise in the casino, none of their workers wore the mask. They sell a donut that looks exactly like a pile of poop Emoji, with a smiley face. Its actually called pile of poo, or the blue version is Blue Man Poo, or some such. Didn’t see any adults eating them, but they seem popular with kids. What sane person allows their kid to eat something marketed as a pile of shit? SMMFH, LOLz. Time for a remake of Idiocracy, or a giant meteor.
A few true believers at the Willie Nelson concert Saturday night wore face Binkies. Although, one might make a weak argument for this. I caught the most hellacious contact high I’ve ever experienced.
People are so self-centered that they’ll believe they’re going to be the exception. “I have long COVID” is a common bleat from the still-masked. Well, if you have long COVID it’s a little late for masking now, dear. “Everything” happens to them, “everyone” is out to get them, and inevitably, “You rassis!” They believe what they’re told by the authoritah figure. Fauxchi, O’Biden, some damn fool mayor or a doctor… doesn’t matter, they just want someone who makes them feel special.
Remember Forest Gump? Remember how everyone watched it had a programmed extreme emotional response to at least one scene? Genius filmmaking for sure. Forest was an empty vessel that we imprinted ourselves into. I mean, who doesn’t feel like a lucky fish out of water at least some of the time? My take on Gump was that after the first act he was put into a state hospital for the insane. The TV in the activity room was showing the news and in his mind he put himself into the images he saw. He was just drugged out, sitting in “his chair” while taking all that in. Much like many of the people obsessed with masks now, in his mind all the events on the screens are happening to him personally.
Some people are like that. They happen to see someone famous, and that story sticks with them. Maybe they even embellish it a bit. I’m guilty of this myself, with my “Nancy Pelosi held up the damn flight for two damn hours” tale. I’ll tell that story long past its use-by date, maybe even bring it up when the old bat finally has that meeting with saint Pete. I know friends of my parents who visited London and still tell of spotting the queen at Buckingham Palace, but did they? Or did they watch the changing of the guard and their mind turned the story into seeing the queen?

Yes, I had the same thought at the beginning of the “pandemic.” Suddenly, everybody seemed enamored with being part of the historical event, so they leaned into it big time. I’ve been re-reading Eric Hoffer’s classic book, “The True Believer,” and boy, does it offer some fresh insights on the scamdemic! Here are some of Hoffer’s more salient points:
“Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity [read slavery] more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.”
Based on this observation, the masks were but a tangible expression of this longing for both anonymity and equality—and at the expense of individual freedom. [As an aside, I was always perplexed why many Americans, when asked what super power they would like to possess if it were possible, often answered “invisibility” instead of the ability to fly or teleport. But the scamdemic offered fresh insights into this longing for invisbility.]
“Where freedom is real, equality is the passion of the masses. Where equality is real, freedom is the passion of a small minority.” If Hoffer is correct here, are we to understand that a longing for enslavement is the default setting for humans in the aggregate?

Is it possible the mask represents for the devotee, not so much a fear of germs, as a liberation from their “ineffectual self”? Or serves as the identification badge of their union with the “true believers” of Covidianism?
Interesting take, Jason. Although I disagree a little bit on Hoffer’s view. If individuals truly wanted anonymity then why be accepting of the surveillance state? Why continually put your face out there through selfies, online videos, and “look at me” scenarios? Why accept your TV watching you, Alexa listening to you, and your car selling your information?
I think society has dumbed down the next generation that they have no idea what they are striving toward or for. The government, schools, and most of all, parents, have instilled a lack of confidence and the deterioration of critical thinking in today’s children.
These kids have no one they can turn to that provide them a place of safety and security. They want invisibility because they are scared to stand out. They lack self esteem and many feel inferior (and terrified) of decision making. A person cannot and will not succeed in today’s world if they are not convinced of who they are and what they want.
We have done a disservice to today’s children. We have instilled ESG and DIE initiatives that the truly gifted or now being replaced by the “so-so”. This hurts us in production, efficiency, and innovation. The elites think the planet will be easier to control and for a generation or two it may well be, but what happens when the TPTB keep reproducing among themselves because they have stupefied everyone else? Did the monarchy of yore teach us nothing? King Charles II of Spain? Queen Victoria? King George III? Nero?
Maybe, we are seeing it now and that is why the elites are so power hungry. They have gone mad due to an over abundance of inbreeding. Have we checked Klaus, Gates, and Zuckerberg’s lineage recently? It would explain a lot.
Celebrity and branding. Basic marketing. Why bother with developing a skill when you can be a personality? Besides, skills seem to be hard to come by without spending a lot of time and money. At least trying to get likes and subscribers seems to only involve time.

As someone who follows no one famous (or even non famous) is marketing by a celebrity really that riveting? Are there actually people out there that buy, vote, and revolve their opinions around someone whose livelihood is looking pretty and reading some lines? Seriously? Someone that they never met who could be (and probably is) one of the biggest assholes behind closed doors?
*Most* people outgrow celebrity worship. But not everyone. The E! and People Magazine viewers are amongst us. And these days we have the breakout of the blogger and YouTube channel runner who’s looking for easy content. So they add their 2￠ to whatever is going on in Hollywood, as gleaned from Variety and Hollywood Reporter. Add on all the various ____CON attendees, Cosplayers and all the other adult aged children and there’s a market.
Clownfish TV is one of these YouTube channels. I see links from one of the people I follow in Mastodon. Occasionally I’ll see a clickbait headline about some business of Hollywood story and get suckered into clicking. I instantly regret it because they’re masters of stretching a paragraph into a 20 minute sermon with no real point. They have to keep you watching long enough for the algorithm to register you as “watched” so they make sure to s-t-r-e-t-c-h it out.
Clownfish TV has 424K subs on YouTube and I imagine they have more on other platforms too. Granted that’s globally, but really, that’s enough to make a tidy middle class income if you produce content daily. And it doesn’t require much to produce, just voiceover and some clips. And for every Clownfish TV there are a hundred others, many regional that the US doesn’t even know exist.
As for the actual people watching, maybe they see it like pro wrestling. They know it’s all fake, but they get some entertainment value from watching Lindsay Lohan’s latest monkeyshines. All in good fun, right? And even though they know she’s a phony, Lohan’s milieu still gets across and into the mind. One of the reasons why Trump is such a pop culture icon is because of his time on Howard Stern and WWE events, something that I knew nothing of until he got into the White House.
I think it shows more to the fact that, much like the occult and wearing of masks, so, too, were mask wearing during COVID was much like an occult. And those who avidly wore them felt liked they belonged to a special group, and were very willing to attack those of us who did not wear one. WE were the outsiders for not wearing a mask like they were. THEY were the “cool kids” who were somehow “in the know”, and we were not. We were somehow the ignorant ones. The only problem is, these masked people (who are generally jabbed) did not realize they sold their health and their life expectancy out for a lie. Much like those who are in the occult sell their souls to the devil.
They’re all nuts, this was just a way to bring it to the surface. Just look at the lady wearing the “My Mask Protects You” bib over 90% of her face – crazy eyes. Tell me she would not point and screech at our naked faces all those years ago. Last week, I saw a guy with a platypus styled N95 and then a guy with a dust mask going in and out like a bullfrog. Was thinking how ridiculous, until I saw the eyes (all you can see). Best to avoid such as these, as they can be sent into fits of rage once triggered.

Those studies are not even really necessary. Common sense dictates that injecting oneself multiple times with a foreign substance (which is still being kept a secret as far as I know) will have some sort of negative health effect. I think some tools and handouts are needed. I used a lot of those when fighting the 55 mph speed limit.
What caught me by surprise was the high level of compliance with masks. It was higher than at any point of speed limit compliance during the 55mph speed limit period.
Both were shocking and outrageous to me.
No doubt, it was as if, instead of a 55 m.p.h. limit you were fighting, the speed limit had been lowered to 22 m.p.h. and the same number of people who drove 55, fiercely demanded everyone else drive 22. …Can you even imagine such a thing?

Yes. Although it was during the 1970s, the last normal decade for America, the 55 mph era which began in late 1973 was absolutely horrible. It looked like things were going to get better by the late 1970s as several states were trying to introduce legislation, but by the time Carter’s legislation that mandated compliance requirements of 50 percent things began to get quickly worse by 1979-80 (also with the energy crisis ii).
When Reagan was elected president a self righteous, pretentious salute the cops mentality took over for quite a while. Prospects for repeal, which looked possible in 1979-80 dimmed substantially as the 21 year old drinking age and the recession took hold in 1982. A culture of saaaaaaafety was beginning to dominate as New York passed its first seat belt law in 1984. Many other states followed and the speed limit took the back seat. Ironically, the National Academy of Sciences released a 1984 report on the benefits of the 55 mph speed limit and the tide began to turn when the report stated that raising to 65 on rural interstates would increase fuel consumption 0.18 percent. That appeared to be a small enough tradeoff.
You’re right though. Ive heard it all and been through it when it came to getting rid of the speed limit. It was a tough haul and we were up against a pubic that was 75 percent in support of the 55 mph speed limit in 1986. Two years later, it was forgotten and the carnage reports had no impact on the public disoucrse. The public approved of 65 now.
It drives a sane man nuts.
Note: in 1974, average speeds dropped from 65 to 57 mph on interstate highways.
By 1985, the average was around 55. The 85th percentile was only 63 or so.
In 1987, the year of the increase to 65, the average speed rose to 59 and the 85th rose to around 69.
It wasn’t until 1993 that speeds recovered to their historical 1973 figures

It was an IQ test. Many failed, especially the analytical thinking part.

As a casual observer and sometimes an active participant, I don’t know if these idiots took the shot or not. I’m not going to presume anything. The fact that they still wear masks is an outward sign of something. Not everyone that experiences vomiting has stomach cancer, so I try not to make presumptions (usually).
