The thing about abuse is you get used to it. Eventually, it becomes normal – having been normalized. For instance, this business of the president starting wars. Just deciding it’s time to lob bombs on other countries.
This is not the president’s constitutional prerogative, which is the relevant point. Not whether the country on the receiving end of the bombs – and sometimes, troops – perhaps deserves to have bombs lobbed on it or American troops sent to it. Those are considerations used to manipulate public support, especially when it is lacking in Congress – which is supposed to have the power to declare war.
Well, the work-around – used by American presidents since at least the time of FDR – is to just wage it without actually declaring it.
FDR waged war against both Germany and Japan years before the war (the second one) was declared. German ships – including the battleship Bismarck, for those interested in an interesting bit of history – were shadowed by American ships and their location transmitted to the British, who were at war with Germany. In some cases, German sips (subs) were even fired upon by American ships in neutral Atlantic waters. American pilots flew British airplanes in the European war zone before America was formally at war with Germany. And as most people know, America – that is, FDR – provided Britain with destroyers and other war materiel which coud be construed as an act of war against Germany.
Now – mind – it isn’t the issue at hand whether the National Socialist (always important to spell it out) regime that ruled Germany or Imperial Japan were baddies. What’s relevant – in terms of the document that is technically the law of this land – is that Congress (and Congress alone) has lawful authority to start wars. The implicit corollary of this being that any act of war engaged unilaterally by the president is illegal and even treasonous.
But presidents have gotten way with starting wars for generations, from FDR to the present one. The Korean War was never declared – by Congress. Nor the Vietnam War. Nor the War on Trrrrrr declared by The Chimp. The war the latter began in Afghanistan lasted almost 20 years. Now America is at war with Yemen – and perhaps soon Iran – because President Trump so decided. Once again, it is important to return to the point that it is beside the point whether going to war with Yemen – and potentially, Iran – is a good or a terrible idea. The point at hand is whether our having gotten used to the president – whoever that may be – starting and waging wars on his own say-so is a good or terrible idea.
The old powdered wig wearers who wrote the “goddamn piece of paper,” as The Chimp is said to have referred to it – thought it was a terrible idea to empower the president to start wars because that is a terrible power to allow any one person to possess. Their idea was to empower a body of the people’s representatives – Congress – to declare war when necessary, which they imposed a majority assent requirement upon. This being a pretty high bar for declaring war, which seems like a very good idea, given that war is serious business that can become existential business. If two-thirds of a large body of the people’s representatives agree that there is justification for war sufficient to declare it, then they will declare it. But what does it tell us when the president decides to ignore the Constitution and engages in war without a declaration from Congress?
Obviously, it suggests there isn’t sufficient – majority – public support for the war. Which strongly suggests the war isn’t necessary, as regards the people of this country.
So the president just starts the war. Just as Caesar and his heirs did. Because they had arrogated to themselves the power to do so – the Senate and People of Rome be damned.
It has been our situation, implicitly, since at least the time of Abraham Lincoln – who was the first American Caesar. It was Lincoln who unabashedly ignored the Constitution’s restrictions upon his authority to wage war against the states that were trying to leave the “union.” Which – to those states – had become like the Soviet Union in that the central authority ruled without the consent of those who were under its rule. Lincoln also shat upon due process – habeas corpus – and did other things that were as unconstitutional as starting a war that Congress hadn’t declared.
Never mind. The victors write history.
But we get to live it.
Including acceptance of the consequences of what’s been normalized.

It goes earlier than that. For example, the Lusitania was loaded with American explosives headed for England. They put American passengers on board so if the Germans torpedoed it, then the American public would be outraged and demand to enter the “Great War.” The Germans even put ads in the papers warning Americans not to ride the Lusitania. Then when they did torpedo it, it exploded and sank quickly, on account of all the explosives in the hull. You can read about it in Ed Griffin’s book “The Creature from Jekyll Island.”

What I dont get is – why do the westerners still join their respective militaries? One can argue none of this would be possible without the cannon fodder required for the war. Give their past actions, I suspect we both know what their next escalation will be. Given that they control the global central banking cartel, and the fractional reserve systems tied into that, they have almost unlimited resources to corrupt entire governments. They really do believe that they are The Chosen, and that the rest of humanity are here to serve them. But they would hardly be the first group with collective delusions.

I made them read some books, etc… that taught the true meaning/reasons and they challenged their ‘teachers’. My kids got in trouble (of course they did), and the issue went all the way to the ‘Principle’. He said “you are right, but we are not allowed to change the curriculum (in a red county in a deep blue state), so please let this be”. Further, England did not completely pay the US back for Marshall Plan loans until 2006.

JEW$ have never repudiated any of the actions and behaviors described in the Old Testament. In fact, today’s genocides in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as supremacist attitudes still held by JEW$ to include slavery of gentiles are today’s premier world problems.
The Catholic Church was indeed correct in discouraging reading of the Old Testament as it could easily be interpreted by lay people to allow for blood sacrifices, genocides and the like.
I maintain that the Old Testament should never have been included in Christian doctrine. Be that as it is, it should be read with disclaimers that Christianity does not condone any of the practices within the text.
The genocides of the Old Testament can only be put in context of Genesis 6:4, the creation of angel-human hybrids (and further explained in Enoch as additionally Angel-animal hybrids). There are in hints of these genetic anomalies in the cultures of all ancient peoples – from giants to other “mythical creatures”. Aside from that very large elephant in the room, the strict codes of the Hebrews were for them alone, to clearly distinguish them from all other cultures, which collectively had very similar cultural traits. The Ten Commandments, apart from worshipping God alone, cannot be argued against as a healthy moral code. Then there are poetic books, and wisdom books, which even Bible detractors admit to the unmatched eloquence of various passages. Ditto for the prophets. And then there is the issue of origins. No religious text comes close to the magnificence of the Bible, Old & New Testaments inclusive.
Now, are there huge problems with abuse? Duh. But indeed, has not atheistic Bolshevism systematically killed more people than all other religions combined? And that’s not even taking into account the clandestine Bolshevism at work right here in the U.S. government.
And as many recognize, many of “Jews” may not even legit, which the Bible addressed long ago in many passages, but most famously in Revelation 3:9
“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie…”
And if you cite the Catholic Crusades – which may have actually been something else, but that is a much bigger discussion – as Christian wars, taking them at face value, any biblical reader can pick apart Catholicism and war as being contrary to the doctrines of Jesus and the New Testament.

Not so. How would the lay people, if ignorant of the OT, know that Christ fulfilled the law by sacrificing his own innocent blood. It seems Israel today is trying to be the same Israel in the old testament. It would seem they are in rebellion to God, just as they were over, and over in the OT. Throwing away the “bad” parts of the Bible is done at one’s own peril. At the flood, God judged all but eight people unredeemable. He has preserved for us the story, and instructions of how to get back in his grace. I wish you all the best.
Most people just have no clue what is on the Old Testament. And many Christians don’t want accept some of the things it planning spells out. And most being ignorant of “history”, such as we can make it out, cannot see the forest for the trees. Then you have this subgroup running around with a big one for the genocides (and they were genocides – God genocided the entire world, if you truly believe the Noah account), and throwing the baby out with the bath water, because they cannot put things in context. Or they don’t want to put them in context, for if the Bible proves to be true, then they have a problem.
Anyway, Missler was wrong about so many things, especially the science and tech stuff, but he was right about the symbiosis of the testaments.

Something I’ve grown to find curious is people who call themselves “Anti-war” & loudly opposed the Chimp’s wars when he was President but cheered wars under Barack Obama & Joe Biden. Now that Trump is president again, many of these people are all of a sudden “Anti-war” again.

The difference between going to war today versus WW2 is the lack of onshore manufacturing and a cohesive culture. If you go to war you should at least go to win but I suspect if we go to war once the stockpiled weapons are used up we’re screwed, oh wait, we shipped them all to ukraine. Sh*t….
