Rap and ELF

Maybe music can be – has been – weaponized? rap 1

I literally can’t stand to be in the same room – in the same vicinity – where there is rap “music” playing. The repetitive droning monotonous ugliness of the extremely low frequency beat that can be physically felt and which is a much-desired attribute of this form (note, never any melody, a characteristic of music).

Brrrrrooom… brrrroooom…brrrroooom.

It seems to impart a stupor in fans of the form. I certainly can’t maintain a coherent train of thought when subjected to it.

Did you know that extremely low frequency (ELF) sound waves can cause physical damage, including (apparently) trigger earthquakes?

Is it not interesting that the primary characteristic of rap is ELF “beats”?

Brrrrrooom… brrrroooom…brrrroooom.

Could it be the auditory equivalent of fluoridation? A subtle, ingenious means of degenerating the cognitive capacity of the masses?rap 2

Has it ever occurred to you that higher music forms tend toward the treble (and high frequency) side of the scale?

Does bass correlate with artificially induced imbecility?

I think it just might.

Brrrrrooom… brrrroooom…brrrroooom.

Could David have been carved with that playing incessantly in the background? E=Mc2? The ballistic trajectory of a Saturn V?

Instead, the dull eyes of the masses focus on the Kardashians and fuuuuhhhhhhhhtttttttball.

Brrrrrooom… brrrroooom…brrrroooom.

As America enters its death spiral, rap is fitting accompaniment. Mindless, barbarous, ugly.

  1. Good old white niggers. Walking on sidewalks. Keeping their pants pulled up. Sending back their census form properly filled out. Following all the rules so they don’t get whipped by the State Massa.

    It’s completely inverted now.

White people are the working slaves. The ones that cringe at the mere thought of a whip. They cower at the thought of the cage. The fields are filled with mostly robots now. Just house niggas.

Look at me. I’ve shoved the entire Illinois code of statutes up my ass so I’m protected. I’m on a tight schedule. Bitch to the IRS. Ho for the Missouri DPS. Fluffer for the FBI and CIA. Cannon fodder for the Texas Military Industrial. Ooh look there’s a new fellatio protocol in the California Code. I’ll be up all night memorizing that. Better not use my teeth, or I’ll pay a 20% penalty.

I just loves being a special concubine for all those sexy lawmen. I’m a real legal eagle. I can bring home Uncle Sam’s bacon, fry it up in a pan. And nevah evah evah let his costumed officials forget they’re the man.

Because I’m their woman. On – Joe – Lee.

It’s false superiority deprecating the ghetto guys. They have less. Do less. But they also suck a lot less. Why the need to act out and talk shit about the darkies. The Mexicans and the blacks. Let’s think about it.

They’re the ones that say fuck it. They’re the ones that at least organize for crime. When did white outlaws all go limp and give up on crime. A bunch of goody goody sissies.

Sure there’s cages, guns, Massa got all kinds of whips and other punishment devices and chains.

But at least the blacks and mexes say I’m just going to do whatever I choose. Concern myself with all manner of frivolous shit. And say Fuck Massa. Fuck all them white folk Uncle Tom whites who look at us side eyed and shit.

You can live in the mansion. Move on up to the East side. But the castration and the transformation and the Poodlization. A real buzz kill. Yip Yip. I’m a big dog now. If you come up on my porch, I’ll dial the phone and order an actual man to come to my rescue.

Just being argumentatively ad absurdum of course. But there’s some truth here I’m afraid.

anything goes that’s not the state.
this stuff. whatever it is. must be of value to someone somewhere.
maybe I have a high tolerance, but it’s not that painful to translate for me

it’s a symptom that this kind of cal is popular. but I don’t think it’s a cause of anything.

soundbiters’ll say things like she’s degrading the culture and language and so on. to me that’s wrongheaded collectivist statist logic. so I can’t concur.

probably Iggy’s just flavor of the month overhyped crapola. much like Kim Kardashian isn’t really that attractive without all the photoshopping, spraytanning, keylighting. but Kim K is okay too. if that kind of gal’s your thing. have at it.

  3. Anything Goes. 1934. Cole Porter.

Times have changed. And we’ve often rewound the clock. Since the Puritans got a shock. When they landed on Plymouth Rock. If today. Any shock they should try to stem. ‘Stead of landing on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock would land on them.

In olden days, a glimpse of stocking. Was looked on as something shocking. But now, God knows, Anything goes.
Good authors too who once knew better words. Now only use four-letter words. Writing prose. Anything goes.

If driving fast cars you like, If low bars you like,
If old hymns you like, If bare limbs you like,
If Mae West you like, Or me undressed you like,
Why, nobody will oppose. When ev”ry night the set that”s smart is intruding and nudists party in Studios. Anything goes.

When Missus Ned McLean (God bless her) Can get Russian reds to “yes” her, Then I suppose Anything goes.
When Rockefeller still can hoard enough money to let Max Gordon. Produce his shows, Anything goes.

The world has gone mad today. And good’s bad today,
And black’s white today, And day’s night today,
And that gent today. You gave a cent today. Once had several chateaux. When folks who still can ride in jitneys. Find out Vanderbilts and Whitneys. Lack baby clothes, Anything goes.

When Sam Goldwyn can with great conviction. Instruct Anna Sten in diction, Then Anna shows. Anything goes.
When you hear that Lady Mendl standing up. Now turns a handspring landing up on her toes, Anything goes.

Just think of those shocks you’ve got. And those knocks you’ve got. And those blues you’ve got. From that news you’ve got.
And those pains you’ve got. If any brains you’ve got. From those little radios.

So Missus R., with all her trimmings, Can broadcast a bed from Simmons. ‘Cause Franklin knows. Anything goes.

    – Anything goes. Seems a simple enough philosophy. If something doesn’t go. Who decides. How is it prevented from going. Who’s to prevent the go stoppers from stopping everything and taking over.

  4. Simply put low frequency noise is an assault. A physical assault. Trouble is “the law” doesn’t recognize it as such. I do believe that many a stereo system is designed not to listen to music but to annoy and assault other people for the perverse joy of doing so. It’s a way of forcing something on to other people, an acting out of the powerless.

The last few times I’ve had to deal with it, I crank up something like this in response:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSPbwXUq9vM

    • I live on 4 acres, and the house is not as far back as it could be, but it is not near the road. In addition, there is a double row of pine trees along the road at the front of the property. I can hear the bass from these car stereos before I hear the car itself. And I can FEEL the vibrations – and I don’t mean in a groovy way.

  5. RE: “Maybe music can be – has been – weaponized? ”

Pardon me, but I thought that was funny as all get-out.

It reminded me of a comment a friend of mine told me once. He was an old Vietnam veteran (he wasn’t the, “Go kill ’em all!” type. He was the, “Help the stupid boys dying in the mud holes” type.) This guy was a medic who would sing with an opera voice, as the teenaged boys died in the mud and gunvernmint drained blood, to comfort them on their journey.

I heard his singing first hand. I hate opera, but the dudes singing was pretty amazing, even to me. And, ya. I could see how it would be comforting as your life leaked out of you.

He was prolly brought up on 1950’s music.

The thing to me he said about Rock N Roll was, “It’s only good for one thing: …fucking.”

Cracks me up, even to this day.

Myself, I kind of think rap is a lot like that, too.

Now, if you wanna tell me about how video games and texting are zombification weaponizing, I’m all ears.
This, from a guy who spent the early 80’s in a video arcade.
Never thought I’d say that about games.

Also, it’s odd that “texting” isn’t in spell check, don’tchya think?
Or, did I spell it wrong?

Anyway, rap music as a weapon? I don’t know, maybe. If so, so is TeeVee and quite a bit of The Internet.
… And, bluejeans! The kind that can be worn below the ass.
    Ha! Damn bluejeans!

Sorry mang, just messing with ya. … But it’s all true.

    • Rap’s better suited for looting to than rooting to. Back in the day I was sure that “house” music was given its name because they were too embarrassed to play it outside.

  6. Intro to Rap.

‘Black Widow’ rap song is the Number 5 on Billboard as of 11-8-2014

    Hierarchy of sound creation
    1 Hook beat and pacing
    2 Verse beat and pacing
3 Singer complies with Hook and is of secondary concern
4 Singer complies with Verse and is of secondary concern

You can write and perform your own rap
    1 Turn on some machinery
2 Make note of the various sounds and patterns of the machinery.
3 The Hook might be when you run it at high rev
4 The Verse might be when you let it quietly idle
5 Remember, it’s the sounds of the machine that is the essence of this sonic experience
6 The singer’s feelings about the machinery and inspiration from the machinery is of secondary concern
7 Melody, Harmony, and all that old stuff is either entirely absent or of only tertiary concern.

    BLACK WIDOW HOOK
I’m gonna love ya Until you hate me
And I’m gonna show ya What’s really crazy
You should’ve known better Than to mess with me, honey
I’m gonna love ya, I’m gonna love ya Gonna love ya, gonna love ya
    Like a black widow, baby

    BLACK WIDOW VERSE
This twisted cat and mouse game always starts the same
First we’re both down to play then somehow you go astray
We went from nothing to something, liking to loving
It was us against the world, and now we just fucking?
[verse continues, more verses come about, yada yada blah blah ALL HAIL SUPREME VIOLENCE MUSIC CARTEL]

BLACK WIDOW SONG COMPLETION DECLARATIVE OUTRO
Black, black, black, black widow baby

    – so now, now nownownow nownow, u gettin to understandin the wicky wicky swish what the what the what wickety wickety the rap is all about yo?

  7. IMHO, rap is not music, it is noise. It should be spelled with a capital C.
I have no idea if it’s true, but I heard once (years ago) that the “boom-boom-unh” rhythm of “We Will Rock You” had been found to loosen one moral standards.
Back during the DNC riots in Chicago (’68? or ’72?) the FBI had funded research to find sounds that would loosen one’s bowels.

  8. Yo, November is Hip Hop History month.

Our nationstate initiated notions might now be as valid as phlogiston. The only relevant question is “What’s Hot” today.

“I’m all about that bass, that bass, that bass…” – Nov 8 2014 Top Single #3

The spontaneity/counter-culture of rap is probably over with. It’s just another culture warmachine now.

It’s easier for me I think, I am content with knowing and independently existing. Having and thriving are secondary perhaps illusive concerns. Philosophy for me means meeting reality wherever it is. As you point out, it’s not in a good place. Not by a long shot. So be it.

Hip Hoppers may be succeeding where we are failing. They’ve managed to establish and maintain an alternate culture. Tho perhaps it is because they are seen as a potent weapon in the arsenal of the Violence Cartel as you postulate.

Other counter-culture successes: 420ers, LGBTs, disadvantaged minorities, Feminists, Safetyophiles, International Socialists, various Racialists, Nationalists, Religionists. All you need do is pledge fealty and submission to the Violence Cartel, and all will be well. You’ll have your freedom in no time, or as much of it as is possible under full spectrum VC dominance.

To understand the history of rap, you need to know two things:

    1. Rap is talking in rhyme to the rhythm of a beat.

    2. Hip-hop is a culture, a way of life for a society of people who identify, love, and cherish rap, break dancing, DJing, and graffiti.

    http://www.hiphop-network.com/articles/general/kurtisblowversionofhiphop.asp

It claims to be a new style built from appropriated spare parts of other music. Hip-hop, is a product of streetwise ingenuity; extracting rhythms and melodies from existing records and mixing them up with rhythmic poetry chronicling life in the ‘hood. Hip-hop is the only voice permitted to a generation that’s been utterly silenced by crushing and pervasive urban poverty.

Look at the 2nd map; not made by Northern White Devils – Africa is actually a huge place
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2596783/Why-world-map-youre-looking-WRONG-Africa-China-Mexico-distorted-despite-access-accurate-satellite-data.html

Karl Marx. Andrea Dworkin. William Ayres. Jeremiah Wright. Just philosophers at the root. Sure they hoped for annihilation of our kind. But that doesn’t mean we can’t understand the portions of their beliefs that are understandable. Hip Hop is one more gruesome gauntlet to map and classify. Entering it or destroying it is probably not necessary.

“I can’t control what people think. I’m not trying to manipulate people’s thoughts or sentiments. I write all the time. You have to experience life, make observations, and ask questions. It’s machine-like how things are run now in hip-hop, and my ambitions are different.” – Mos Def
