Morning eric. Here’s an article on G’s latest victims of censorship. If this isn’t proof positive it’s a govt. agency I don’t know what it would take to convince someone. Of course, it’s a big win for Israel too. To add a little more to it, Saudi Arabia has jumped on board since Iran is a sworn enemy.

WRT the cell phones, only one was prohibited on airliners: the Samsung Galaxy 7. That phone was called out BY NAME in the airline’s manuals. The other phones were permitted on board.
The Galaxy Note was singled out because it had a design flaw (or multiple flaws, I don’t recall in detail) that gave it a higher-than-average likelyhood of self-igniting into a lithium fire. Not the kind of thing you want on an airplane. Most phones and portable batteries don’t have that.
