Open Letter to a Face Diaperer

It’s such a small ask – wear a mask!

So say the bulletin boards along the road. So says every consolidated media outlet. So says the Hair Plugged Man. I figured it’s time to say something in reply, for the same reason that Jefferson ticked off all the reasons why the American colonies tired of being yoked to the British Empire and wanted to cut the cord. The reasons weren’t trivial or transitory – and a decent respect for the opinions of mankind required that they be laid out publicly.

Similarly, the following are the reasons why “wearing a mask” is not a “small ask” –

In the first place, it is a tell.

You are demanding we wear the thing. All over this country, people are being denied access to stores and restaurants and threatened with the loss of their jobs if they do not submit to your oilily tyrannical “ask,” which is of a piece with the government “asking” people to pay taxes.

The effrontery of the verbiage is itself sufficiently obnoxious all by itself to reject the “ask.”

In the second place, you are demanding we pretend to agree that everyone is sick or might be – or could get – sick. That we make it appear we share your fear-based assertions about a sickness so actually unthreatening to most people as to be comparable to childish assertions about the bogeyman.

You demand we wear your specified garment, as the visual sign of our coerced “agreement” with these assertions. You are demanding we surrender our own judgment in deference to yours.

This is intolerable.

We are not sick, first of all – and your overwrought fear that we might be imposes no obligation upon us to accommodate your fears.

It is also incredibly insulting to be treated as presumptively sick, with the implication that we’re not only disease-carriers but also disease-spreaders. That we are a threat – based on nothing more than your feelings.

It is not unlike being treated like a thief when we haven’t stolen anything. Or a mass-shooter when we haven’t shot anyone.

We do not share your fear of getting sick – based on the fact that the risk for us is objectively very slight and the risk of becoming seriously sick even more remote.

Why should we defer to your pathological fear to the contrary?

But just in case! Because it might save a life!

This is a recipe for the death of life. Your weaponized dread of risk makes living impossible.

And we want to live.

Where does it end? How do you draw the line?

The answer is, you won’t. You even say so. You call it the “new normal” – a sick future of weaponized hysteria, of pathologized aversion to risk untempered by facts. Of mass submission to whatever the masses are told they must submit to.

A “mask” is also not a respirator.

It is a mask. Literally. In the manner of a Halloween mask, except genuinely horrible and not for fun.

Its function isn’t medical. It is ritual gear meant to hide the face of the wearer; to efface his individuality. To make him look like everyone else whose face no one can see. It is a muzzle. A visual representation of your voice, your will – yourself – being stifled. For this purpose, a dirty old bandana, neck scarf or a literal diaper qualifies as a “mask,” because they hide the wearer’s face and suppress any visual evidence of dissent.

Not because they filter viruses.

If these “masks” do serve a medically useful purpose then so long as you wear yours, you have nothing to worry about.

So why are you worried about whether other people wear one?

Could it be because you can’t stand the idea of anyone giving visual evidence of not agreeing with your faith?

Which you are welcome to.

We are merely asking that you leave us free to not partake of it. We are not asking you to alter your life in any way to accommodate us. You are free to “mask” – or not. Free to patronize stores and other establishments that have a “mask” policy – or not.

But we will not accept being forced to pretend we are sick by being compelled to act out a ritual based on your fears. And above all, we will not permit you to get away with pretending you are asking.

“THAT MASK IS GIVING YOU LUNG CANCER”
    Becky Akers October 24, 2020

Yep, not only do they inflict maskne and headaches, but masks also upload carcinogens into your lungs, according to Guy Crittenden, a former editor of HazMat Management. He posted this information on Facebook; thanks to David Mueller for sending it my way.

I happen to know a thing or two about masks and safety. Why? Because for 25 years I was the editor of an award-winning trade magazine called HazMat Management that covered such topics as pollution prevention and compliance with health & safety laws. We routinely published articles on masks, gloves, respirators and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE). Now let me tell you a few things about that mask you’re wearing. And please note that what I’m about to share was also stated in the most recent edition of Del Bigtree’s program The Highwire when two OSHA mask experts spoke to the fact that the kinds of masks people are wearing were never (never!) designed to be worn for long periods and doing so is very harmful.

The blue typical mask depicted in the photograph contain Teflon and other chemicals. A Facebook friend reminds us: 1. Masks are “sterilized” with Ethylene Oxide — a known carcinogen. Many teachers in various school boards have been experiencing significant symptoms as a direct result of the effects of this chemical. 2. The masks contain (not sprayed with) PTFE which makes up Teflon along with other chemicals. I found and have posted the US patent to allow manufacturers to use PTFE as a filter in commercial masks… “breathing these for extended periods can lead to lung cancer.”

Don’t agree? Argue with the experts at OSHA, which is the main US agency, i.e., its Occupational Health & Safety Agency. These masks are meant to be worn only for short periods, like say if you’re sanding a table for an hour and don’t want to inhale sawdust. They don’t do anything whatsoever to stop the spread of any virus, and the emerging science of virology now understands that viruses aren’t even passed person to person. I know that sounds incredible, but it’s the case that the virus is in the air, you breath it in, there’s no way to prevent that short of living in an oxygen tent, and if you have a strong immune system you’ll be fine, and if you have a weak immune system you may have to deal with the effects of your immune system working to restore balance within your metabolism.

So let’s say you don’t wear the blue packaged masks, and instead wear a homemade cloth mask — the kind people wear over and over and hang on their rearview mirror and so on. Those masks are completely useless against a virus, and are also very dangerous. OSHA would never condone a person wearing a mask of this kind for anything more than the shortest time. Re-breathing your own viral debris is dangerous to health, and the oxygen deprivation children suffer wearing such masks all day will certainly cause brain damage. I’m not making this up. Again, you might say, well, Guy, you’re not a doctor. True, but I did edit that magazine for 25 years. That’s a long time and many articles on masks and PPE. I’ve attended numerous OH&S conferences and listened to experts discussing these matters.

You may hear people saying that surgeons and nurses wear masks like this all day. Um, no. No they don’t. They’re trained in the proper use of masks, which is to wear them in the OR, then dispose of the mask when they leave that room. Are you aware that operating rooms are actually supplied extra oxygen, to compensate for the reduction in oxygen flow from mask wearing? To my mind, it’s criminal (not hyperbole) to force children to wear masks all day. Setting aside the very real psychological effects, we’re going to have a generation of brain damaged children. Ever heard the expression, “Not enough oxygen at birth?” That’s a joke at the expense of a mentally challenged person, but that’s literally what we’re doing. And we’re told it’s to “keep us safe”! We’re told this by doctors who actually don’t know about PPE and laypeople who have no clue.

So, you can choose to believe me or not, but I was the editor for a quarter century of a magazine that had a strong occupational health and safety mandate, and I can tell you that the mask wearing currently mandated by governments and private businesses offers no health benefit whatsoever, in no way protects you or anyone else from any virus, and actually does you damage beyond wearing it for a few minutes. Got that? Good. Now please share this message and get the conversation going with parents, who must end this masking of children immediately. This is a very serious matter. And related to that, let me just state this doesn’t end for me when the lockdown ends or the masking ends. No, this ends for me when every politician and bureaucrat who inflicted this travesty, this crime against humanity, on the population of Canada (and other affected countries) is in the dock, and faces their misdeeds in a court of law.

And as for those of you who have put masks on young children, I will have a long memory on that score. A very long memory.

END NOTE: The CDC and WHO have acknowledged that asymptomatic people do not spread the virus, so the case for masks for such people is moot in the first place.

    • Hi Tom,

I agree with the article, not necessarily that it will cause lung cancer or brain damage (although that is possible), but gut tells me there will be serious long term health repercussions that we will not have considered. Dr. Fraud (Fauci) stated in a 60 Minutes interview that masks will be here at least until 2022, even if there is a vaccine. I cannot imagine another 18 months of this. When do we start addressing the excess deaths attributed to this plandemic including the increase in opioid use, suicides, and the psychological trauma that we are putting our children through? In Virginia, anyone under the age of 10 is not required to wear a mask. Why would any parent force this upon their child? As I am typing on my computer I just had an ad pop up to my right showcasing the new Christmas masks for sale from IVROSE. You can choose to wear a Christmas Tree, or Santa, or if you want something neutral there is always snowflakes to cover you nose and mouth with. Nothing says deadly pandemic then a big imprint of Rudolph across your face.

      • In 1974, I couldn’t imagine anyone would have thought the 55 mph speed limit would have been permanent. We were stuck with it for 21 years. That is until a small, and I mean very small, band of citizens got up and did something about.

        • Yes, a small group but they had behind them almost everyone ignoring the 55mph speed limit and that the regulatory compliance fiction was faltering badly. They were having trouble finding new ways to fake the official numbers because people were so blatantly ignoring it. And in some states like Illinois it hung on for another two decades and where most people live still covering the majority of interstate and limited access highways.

      • While I’m sure it’s true that there are carcinogens in the masks, and that they do decrease your oxygen levels and increase your CO2 levels a bit, this falls into the same category as manmade global warming. It is small enough to be irrelevant. The bigger issue is to your spiritual and mental well being- the mask sends a constant message to “Be Very Afraid! There is a horrible plague among us! You should panic!”

This panic is already going to kill tens of millions of people by starvation, and by suicide, homicide, and drug overdoses. The mask wearing is far from a harmless, minor thing, but a deadly dangerous delusion.

        • Hi Ernie,

Exactly. It’s the demoralization effect – the humiliation of being muzzled. Who got muzzled prior to all of this? People like Dr. Lector. People in prisons. Animals that are yoked to a cart.

Especially despicable is the way these things imply agreement with something . . . despicable. You wear it, it looks like you also believe “you might be sick!” That it’s acceptable to presume everyone is sick – and spreading sickness.

This has got to stop. If it does not stop, it will be the end of any kind of normalcy, including the presumption of innocence.

          • This is just my periodic comment about how well spoken/written Eric is — genius. I wish our sheriffs were as morally sound as Eric.

        • On the bright side – I walked into the TSC this morning after placing a curbside pick up order. No one answered the phone so I sauntered in, because I was not making a second trip back to pick up the supplies I needed. I literally had one woman refuse to come through the double door that I was walking through and actually backed up into the store so she would not be within 10 feet of me (cart and all). The cashiers (three guys gathered together BSing) saw me and were quick to assist me in picking up my package and get my butt out of the store pronto. I was in the store for about 15 seconds, no lie. On the way out with my box of supplies another woman loading her minivan moved to the other side of the van as I walked past. I laughed, for what else can you do? The problem is theirs, not mine. All I can do is live life to the fullest and realize there are some seriously deranged people in this world. The great thing now is they are much easier to tell apart.

    • Wow. The factory-made masks are toxic, figures! I didn’t even know they had PTFE etc in them. That’s an actual danger, unlike the fairy tale nonexistent ‘bug’. Idiots. Actually putting more toxins in their body. To stop a fairy tale. Even if it hypothetically stopped some bacteria, the toxins are worse than the bacteria. Viral conditions are caused by toxins, so the idiots are literally putting more toxins in their body (masks, ‘disinfectant’ chemicals, soaps, etc), which causes viral conditions, for the purpose of stopping the symptoms that it creates. MORONS! The schools have done their job well. Tons of people are completely uneducated and also ignorant. Why even send you kids to school or looniversity? They haven’t learned a damn thing! 100% waste of time & money. Life is short — why waste it being lied to?

  2. If quackcines are so great…

If you need multiple quackcines then doesn’t that prove that the first one didn’t work… and since the first one didn’t work, then why would the second/etc one work?

And if they make you immune, then why do they wear off over time (IOW you need ‘boosters’)? Supplements/vitamins/etc DO wear off over time because your body used it up, but a quackcine is not a supplement — it is supposed to train your body to become immune, so once that happens, then you should never need another quackcine ever again… so why do you need more and more over time… when will it ever be enough?

But somehow, someway, the quackcines are automatically assumed to be the cure all for everything! But wait… if it’s the cure all for this “virus” [fairy tale], then why can’t they cure EVERY “flu” and EVERY “cold” and EVERY illness there is? If they can’t cure the ordinary/common (wimpy) flu’s, then why are they suddenly able to cure this MOST SUPER POWERFUL DEADLY flu?

Wow, quackcines are so amazingly fabulous that they can defy the laws of physics and pure logic! It’s just amazing what modern medical scientists [stooges] can come up with!

I’m going to watch the TV news shows to see if they have an answer. But they won’t, because noone asks the questions.

  3. Two things for the idiots out there:

With “the cases! the cases!” on the rise again (oh noooooo!!!) it looks like masks don’t work, because 99% of the morons out there were dutifully muzzling themselves.

Second, You walk past someone freebreathing and they freak out trying to get out of your way. So, why isn’t the covid test someone standing 5 feet from the test and breathing normally for 5 seconds? That’s how all the geniuses think it spreads.

Why the need for the Q-tip all the way to the blood-brain barrier?

    • The Covidian’s stock response is undoubtedly to blame the 1% that isn’t wearing masks for the “rise” in cases. “Oooh, oooh, if only 100% would wear masks this would all be over in two weeks!”

      • I know. That’s their derp response.

And I’d tell them no it’s not us, we avoid you freaks as much as possible on account of how hideous you look.

And they’d say “it isssssss” and then… I don’t know

  4. My sister, a nurse, reports there are many nose operations being performed on all day mask wearers. The masks also lead to hypoxia, the starvation of oxygen to body cells, particularly the brain. 3 minutes without oxygen and nerve cells start to die. There is also the problem of circumventing the body’s natural gift of removing toxic particles to the general environment where such toxic elements are dealt with. The hypoxia will not show up now, but 10 or 15 years down the road, like cancer, it will rear its head and there are no methods of dealing with dead neurons in the brain. You can see where this is leading.

  5. OM today: “cases” hysteria a “fake news media conspiracy.” The timing is suspicious but not at all surprising. They’re pulling out all the stops now. It’s gonna keep gettin’ stranger…

    • Hi D,

It’s worse! Belief in god is a matter of faith. It can be inferred; it may be true. It is very hard to prove it – in an objective, 2+2 equals 4 kind of way. The hysteria over WuFlu, on the other hand, is easily dissipated – if the believer is willing to accept objective facts (in a 2+2=4 kind of way) that his beliefs are, indeed, hysterical.

        • In a nutshell!

If you question it, you’re labeled a “denier”, which is akin to heresy.

I think the only meaningful dichotomy is authoritarian/libertarian.

        • None of this reactionary mania was based on science. You might think of it as an experiment, but an experiment is useless without a control group (Sweden?). This is “science” about as much as Jim Jones was Jesus. The way “science” is being used as a “be-all, end-all” is, to me, being a scientist, offensive. Also, there are no politics in science. There are politics in force.

    • Hi Jen,

What we’re dealing with is a massive cultic ritual initiation. Part of it is getting the initiates – the Diaper Wearers – to not only accept their “new normal” but demand its general acceptance. There can be no deviation from orthodoxy.

It’s awful to have to say this, but we may have to fight as people deranged by religious hysteria cannot be reasoned with and – on a case such as this one – not only want to harm us but have been given sanction to do so by “the system.”

If Orange Man wins, we may get a reprieve.

  6. There is an honest belief among many of the cult members that if we all just masked up, it would all go away in a couple weeks, or that we’d be through this already. Profound ignorance and a fundamental lack of critical thinking ability drives this. Truth is, this virus will now be endemic. No amount of masking or distancing/avoidance is going to stop it.

Want to end the fear and insanity? Stop mass testing immediately. Period.

  7. The by far biggest problem with any argument against the corona psychosis is that we are not dealing with scientific fact in any regard. Quite the contrary. There are few facts involved. Which means the largest portion of the psychosis is based on belief. As in religion. Which has historically been one of the most difficult concepts to argue with. With no facts involved, and none even required, it’s hard to construct an argument against them. All the while, the proponents of the ongoing economic, social, and psychological destruction claim that their opponents are the ones denying scientific fact. This is without doubt the largest, and most unfounded propaganda campaign in the history of the species. It is incomprehensible to me, and I suspect anyone capable of critical thought that such a campaign could ever be successful. Which causes a different psychological effect that may be just as dangerous as that caused by the induced paranoia. I know it has certainly effected me. Having every fact based argument one presents dismissed as a “conspiracy theory”, even though there are real conspiracies ongoing all the time, and to propose a theory about one is perfectly normal. It’s hard to argue with a mass of insane religious zealots, and hard on one’s sanity to try. I will nevertheless carry on doing so.

  8. The local beekeeper’s wife stopped by the farm the other day to deliver the yearly honey for leasing the spot on the farm for honey bees. Bees need water and the creek is a hundred yards from the place.

She had Covid and was hospitalized for two weeks. “You don’t want to get it,” she said emphatically.

After two weeks she felt fine at the hospital and wanted to go back home, get out of there.

‘We want to make sure we keep you alive’ were the words of the medical workers. The beekeeper’s wife was on a respirator for most of the time while hospitalized.

There has been an explosion of cases in the small city of 55,000, so everyone is freaked out about the Covid disease and masks are everywhere you go.

    Lots of fear.

I have dust masks for protection from dust, sawdust, any kind of dust while working with power tools.

“This mask will not protect your lungs.” – The words on the warning right on the mask.

I doubt masks will protect anyone from getting sick, but the fear of getting sick with the Wuhan Chuckle is high.

It is mask madness out there.

If you are by yourself in your car and wear a mask, you’re paranoid beyond belief.

If you are in the park and are wearing a mask outside, you need some help.

    The fear factor rules.

    • Hi Drump,

I have no doubt that a large percentage of the “hospitalized” are fear-freaked people who in sane times would have stayed in bed at home a few days and been fine. Today, if a person sneezes, people automatically think death!

Last year around this time I got a bad respiratory infection, some variant of flu. I was coughing for a few weeks and had some raspiness in my lungs. The normal stuff people use to deal with without rushing to the hospital. If I got that same bug today, I’d have to hide at home and make sure no one knew I caught a cold because if it were known, the Corona Police would descend upon me and probably fit me with an ankle bracelet or drag me off to a hospital, probably to be killed by the quacks there and ticked off as a “corona” death.

      • I wonder how much of the extreme hospital cases are psychosomatic in nature. In other words, are people so freaked out about getting the virus that their mind begins exaggerating the symptoms to the point where they actually need to be put on a ventilator?

        • Hi Jim,

I think it’s just that. I was at Lowes a couple weeks ago, waiting by the register to check out. Someone sneezed and the whole place froze. It would have been funny, ordinarily. But it’s terrifying because of the actuality. Many people now regard the slightest sign of a cold as a lethal threat – the very definition of hypochondria, weaponized for evil purposes by evil people.

          • I went into a bank in the wonderful state of dictatordan called Victoria in Australia. The fool at the door wanted me to use sanitiser on my hands. I absolutely refused. I have never used that crap and it is the reason we now have antibiotic resistant germs. The look of fear on his face was quite visible. I conducted my business without the use of the hand crap and with my mask below my nose. I also gave him a false phone number when he asked for my contact phone.

          • I have seasonal allergies (ragweed). Every September I sneeze and blow my weight in snot out my nose every day for a couple months until the first freeze. It’s very interesting getting out and about with this affliction.

I can’t imagine wearing a mask with allergies! Although it may be entertaining to see people’s reaction to such visual evidence! I’ll not find out any time soon. I don’t wear a mask. Ever.

        • I believe this to be true and intentional. The symptoms are the most common symptoms for colds and allergies. Most common colds are “coronaviruses” supposedly. The human mind is a remarkable thing- witness people dying when they are “hexed” or “cursed” on other superstitious cultures.

Add in the feedback loop to keep driving fear, panic, and stress from the social media crowd and the official propaganda outlets, and you have a recipe for a horrendous outbreak of psychosomatic illness and some people will literally psych themselves to death.

Than there is the medical “profession” with their quack treatments and nostrums. These are proven killers and the more people seeking the crap they’re pushing, the more people they are going to injure or kill.

      • You may have had a mild dose of the ‘rona. When my wife returned from a trip to Berlin back in late February/early March, she was hacking for days…so much so that I was beginning to worry. She didn’t have a fever, but I had never seen her cough like that before. A few days later I came down with The Cold From Hell. Who knows? Maybe we had it, and now we’re immune…like the Orange Man. 🙂

I can tell you one thing. I would never get tested unless there was a guarantee of anonymity. I don’t want to be tagged a ‘rona carrier in some database.

    • 22 years ago I became ill, influenza, maybe. I thought I was over the illness and continued to try to work.

After a few days of being ill, the illness increased in intensity. I was sicker than a dog. Here I thought I had the flu, but no, it was pneumonia. I didn’t know I had pneumonia, thought it was a continuation of the flu.

      Cowshit I know? lol

After about five days of suffering and misery, dreamed I was on a train and the other passengers thought I was dead. ‘Don’t talk to him, he’s dead,’ the dreadful words of one passenger. You sleep, but you get no rest, you wake up sicker and it only gets worse. There is no rest for the wicked. lol

Probably on a Saturday the nightmare was dreamed, suffered another Sunday of pure misery, on Monday morning, I walked to a doctor’s office and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Went immediately to the pharmacy and purchased the prescribed medicine. It took a good three days to feel like I was going to live. It was a near death experience, very bleak.

No modern medicine practice, you’re going to die. It will happen. The fear of death motivates you to take action.

Doctors are there for a reason.

You live to die another day, what doesn’t kill you keeps you alive.

The masked jump the shark as soon as they get out of bed each day.

You have to kill them with kindness, even if against all odds. har

“I am free of all prejudice, I hate everyone equally.” – W.C. Fields

  9. “One small ask, wear a mask.”

    How about no.

I’ve realized there are two main types of enforcers of masking at retailers. The arms folded all business (tough-guy) “SIR, YOU NEED A MASK.” There’s also the super nice polite sweet girl just “trying to be nice and do their job, cuz we don’t want granny to get sick riiiiggghhhhttt!?!😁”

In either case “no-thanks, medically exempt.” Kills it.

It’s easier than picking up money off the ground yet 98% are scared to death to challenge it.

We need maybe 10-20% tops, non-compliance and a majority of the passive compliant masses would drop their face maxi shortly after.

  10. “In the fourth – and obvious – place, if these “masks” do serve a medically useful purpose then so long as you wear yours, you have nothing to worry about. So why are you worried about whether other people wear one?”

Their shtick, Eric, is that your mask protects everyone else except yourself. If you speak or breathe or something, your virus-carrying water particles will fly into their eyes, their ears, or their skin or something, and they’ll get the virus. Of course if they were worried about that, they’d wear gloves, long sleeves, ski mask and goggles. Or not go out in public. But better to impose an obligation on others in their eyes.

By the way, I voted without a mask. I thought it would be a problem, but it wasn’t thankfully. I was alone of course, except one of the poll workers, who upon noticing me exclaimed, “Oh, I forgot my mask!” Not able to think of something better to say I said, “Feels good doesn’t it?”

Hope Nunz isn’t too mad about me voting, I did write him in for president.

      • You’ll have to enlighten me here; is there any difference between these two methods of transmission other than one of degrees?

Either way, they already have their fallback position figured out for that one. Blah blah viral load, blah less sick, blah blah blah.

This is like playing whackamole, except every mole is up all the time and reappears immediately as soon as you whack it.

        • My understanding is that airborne transmission entails microscopic aerosol particles that can travel well beyond six feet (unlike saliva droplets, allegedly). Aerosol particles can also remain suspended in the air for a much longer period than saliva particles.

Airborne transmission further implies that pathogens can easily spread through the fibers of the wearer’s mask due to their much smaller size. Hence, the belief that wearing a mask prevents spreading germs is false.

But like you said, the masked Covidians have a fallback answer for everything–no matter how ridiculous. So at the end of the day this latest CDC admission will probably amount to exactly nothing.

          • Hi Jim,

Your point in re the Branch Covidians having a fallback response for everything is an important one. Exactly so. No matter the contrary fact, they have a contrary assertion. Because, I think it is clear, they want to believe. A good example of their immunity to good news is the fact that a “case” does not mean death – or even sickness. Most “cases” don’t have symptoms. That is inarguably true. A rational person would take that as good news and be calmed down by it. But the opposite is the . . . case. These people roil themselves up over “the cases!” despite the inarguable fact that “cases” are being used to exaggerate the problem.

            • Interesting, isn’t it? That this one small virus is so intelligent and clever that it can defeat both the immune system and everything humans can think of, except masks, vaccines, and remdesivir at $3100 per treatment regimen. That’s what all of these assertions amount to at the end of the day.

    • People should flipping this ‘It’s not for me, it’s for you’ argument on its head to gun control advocates. “I don’t own guns just for my protection but for yours, too.”

If someone is committing violence who do you call? Somebody with a gun. Calling the DMV during a robbery isn’t much help. Well, not before every government agency got their SWAT team thanks to 1033 programs anyway.

      • Brilliant idea! Also, the cops themselves use that one quite often: “This is for your protection”, while slapping cuffs on you.
