Who remembers the Lark?

And the Lark Daytona Wagonaire.

Note all the features in 1963 that are available today (again)
- Sliding rear roof (like the Envoy XUV)
- Step ladder (like on next year's F-150)
- Disc brakes (well, like pretty much every car now)

I have a Matchbox model of the Lark Wagon somewhere in my collection.

I kind of liked that commercial.

I like Studes; they are quirky (like AMCs) but look a lot better!

Agreed - on the shelf behind me right now I have a model '57 Hawk! The '53 Loewy coupes were, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful cars ever made. Equally impressive is the way they managed, while slowly going broke, to keep that basic design looking up-to-date, thanks in no small part to Brooks Stevens. Stevens is, I think,a very under-rated designer - look at what could have been the '66 Studebaker:

Ford's already got the step ladder on the tailgate thing.

And isn't the Envoy XUV already discontinued? It was reported to be so top-heavy as to be rendered almost undriveable.
