Just finished the class - scored 100%!

The instructor was Dan Starks (http://www.danstarks.com), who helped draft North Carolina's Concealed Carry law, and he was excellent.

Lots of good info about the legal side of the use of deadly force. One peculiarity in North Carolina's laws is that it's legal to shoot someone through your front door as they are breaking it down. However, once they are inside (assuming they survive), you must make a new determination as to whether they are a threat to you.

North Carolina is also a "homeowner has a duty to retreat" state, so you can't go chasing them across the front yard like you can in Texas.

Congratulations!

Va is similar; I hope it becomes a "castle law" state and think it will. As things get scarier average people are becoming less tolerant of scumbag criminals and laws that favor them.

Here in Floyd County - a very small/very rural place - the high school had two bomb threats this month and theft/assault/murder is becoming not unheard of, as it was as recently as 5 or 6 years ago. Part of the problem is the influx of a large number of thuggish illegal aliens from Central and South America. These people see "rich gringos" all around them.

I am buying more ammo....
