OK, so we have seen the Bad Car Names thread - how about a flipside look?

My favourite car name is the Accord. An accord is a compromise, and the 2009 Accord is an...accord...between a Cadillac Fleetwood (length), a BMW (style) and a Honda (badging, reliability).

The two runner ups are Mustang and Eldorado.

Your nominations?

I always loved the way Eldo-ra-do rolled off the tongue. And in its glory days (late 1960s-mid '70s) the car lived up to the name!

Thunderbird is another favorite.

I also really like DeTomaso Pantera, Jensen Interceptor, 'Cuda ...

Just to name a few...

I've always liked the names Brookwood, Kingswood, Parkwood and Yeoman; they just sound right for a station wagon. I like the names Delray and Roadmaster too.

Kingswood was a great name - surpassed only by Vista Cruiser!

Even better if it's an SS 396 Chevelle!

The Apperson Jack Rabbit was a sporty little car in the early 1900's. A car built locally in the teens, or a little earlier was the Simplicity Six. It was sold under several names and really was a lot simpler than other cars. It just wasn't marketed very well and was undercapitalized.

Of course, the best ever vehicle name is Vincent Black Shadow!
