Two University of Georgia football players were arrested early Saturday morning for alcohol related offenses, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Dontavius Jackson, a sophomore backup tailback, slated third on the Bulldogs depth chart, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, following too closely, leaving the scene of an accident, violation of the move-over law and violation of learnerís permit.

Jackson appeared in four games for the Bulldogs his freshman season.

Tavarres King a 19-year old starting wide receiver was charged with underage possession of alcohol. King is a redshirt sophomore who started 9 of 12 games for the Bulldogs last season and appeared in four games in 2008.

Monday July 5 Damon Evans resigned from his position as the school's athletic director after he was arrested on June 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol
