Here is a picture of my little diesel tractor, a circa 1982 Satoh S370D.

These were made by Mitsubishi and gray-marketed into the US.

Mine has a 15 hp twin cylinder diesel, 4WD, two-speed transfer case, PTO and three-point hitch.

With glow-plug assist, it starts easily even in very cold weather and is a tough little SOB.

It plows better than my neighbor's full-size (but 2WD) John Deer, too!

That's a cute little tractor! I like it! Certainly is built a lot better than todays compact diesel tractors. How many hours does it have?

Thanks!

I've got no clue on the hours because it doesn't have the optional hours gauge.

But the guy I bought I from, who bought it new, was an older guy who used it just occasionally and for light work. It was in very good mechanical shape when I got it.

It sees the most use in winter, when I put a blade on it. During the summer months I sometimes drag large logs/stumps.

It hasn't let me down yet!

Maintenance-wise, I change the oil/filter every four months, "need it or not."

I change out the hydraulic fluid very other year.

Grease the fittings annually.

Change out the differential lube every three years.

Radiator flush n' fill ever two years.

Check/adjust valve clearance once every three years.

So far, so good!
