Dear All,

Does anyone know of a competent, trustworthy, reasonably priced auto repair shop in the Orlando area, near UCF if possible? My stepdaughter is at UCF and needs a place to go for routine maintenance and a timing belt replacement.

Have you found it to be a reliable source?

How much more reliable can it be than that it is known nationwide by some pretty fussy people?

I hate to say this, but I don't know. I would try the Magic Mechanic on Lee Road. Places like that are likely be high priced, but they're well known. They have that radio show on WDBO. I frankly trust very few mechanics around here. Every time I went to one to ask if they could replace my struts, I felt like I was going to get chiseled. I know of one in Merritt Island who is good. He's a little slow, but very good. Its Chucks Auto Service on Courtenay Dr. You may want to try him if you're in a bind. He's not quite as expensive, although his hourly is 65.00.

Let me know what you come up with.
