Our priorities are definitely screwed up. I have always said that a Swiss style defense (but without a draft) would be the best way to go. For one thing it would cost a tiny fraction of what we are currently paying for the honor of being the world's policeman. Who is going to attack us? Canada? Mexico? Get real.
