Court Update
June 3, 2008

Attorneys and CPS workers met in San Angelo behind closed doors Sunday, June 1, to work out a modified agreement for the return of the YFZ children. This document was signed by Judge Walther on Monday morning and allows for the immediate return of all children.

The following are the most important conditions imposed on parents by this agreement:
►Must provide identification and be fingerprinted and photographed with their children at the time they pick them up.
►Must provide CPS with home address, telephone numbers for parents, and names of all children and adults living in the home.
►Must cooperate with ongoing CPS investigations, allowing unannounced visits from CPS workers between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
►Must attend and complete parenting classes.
►Must allow interviews with the children, including medical, psychological, and psychiatric examinations if CPS deems any of these necessary.
►Must notify CPS seven days before any change of residence.
►Must not remove children from the state except by court approval.
►Must notify authorities if children are to travel more than 100 miles from their home.
The agreement does not require parents to renounce any tenets of their religion and does not place restrictions on the fathers living with their families or on the families returning to the YFZ community.
Parents began gathering up their children throughout the state yesterday, and the process is continuing today.
