More likely Porsche (as well as Ferrari) will throw their engineering muscle at weight reduction and other ways of improving efficiency.

    Re: Requiem for Porsche?

After all, smog control was gonna be the death of performance cars too, but eventually they all figured out how to make performance better than ever, with electronic fuel injection and ECU controlled engines. CAFE is just another challenge. I think it's rather small minded to think that some engineers won't be able to take advantage of this paradigm shift. So there won't be any more new 454 Chevelles, big deal.
