Chrysler Mexico and its Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge brands established a new monthly sales record in July, with 9,859 units sold, an increase of one percent compared to same month in 2007. It was the best July sales ever in Mexico and the best accumulated year-to-date sales since 2001. During the January-through-July time period, sales reached 69,973 units, 2.7 percent more than the same period in 2007.

These results were powered by the newest CUV in the Mexican market: the highly successful Dodge Journey, which sold more than 1,290 units last month. This model is built in the Toluca Assembly Plant in Mexico and exported worldwide.

The following Chrysler LLC vehicles also reported sales increases in Mexico during the month of July: Chrysler 300C and Town & Country, Dodge Avenger, Dakota, and Ram Quad Cab 4x4 pick up truck, as well as the Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee.

During the second half of the year, Chrysler Mexico and its dealer network will work to maintain the positive momentum and strengthen their presence in the national market. The Company is committed to its long-term promise to customers to offer the newest vehicle lineup in the industry. “We are very proud of these achievements,” said Joseph ChamaSrour, President and Managing Director of Chrysler Mexico. “They are the result of effective sales strategies combined with offering the newest, quality vehicle lineup in the market, the best warranty, advanced technology and attractive designs to satisfy the needs of our market.”
