Great Chevy commercial from 1965, on BONANZA

!965 Chevy commercial on BONANZA. And the new Corvette with disk brakes, all around <VBG>. This was back when they showed the whole show without interruption and then introduced the new fleet in one long commercial. Caution: 5.9mb download... 5/ 1/2 minute commercial.
    And...no pickups!

Great commercial! It's funny how they had Hoss (Dan Blocker) pitch in the commercial the Chevy II when that same year Hoss was personally driving a 375 horsepower Z16 Chevelle SS which Chevrolet gave him. Hoss's Chevelle SS sold a few years back at auction for $250,000.

    Loved that show!

Hoss had a massive MI soon thereafter; I don't think he made it to 45.....

Hoss died at 43. Remember the buffet style steak house he started called Bonanza Steakhouse? It turned into a big chain by the 1970s. It's still around however its parent company is in trouble, and just closed it's corporate run Bennigans and Steak and Ale restuarants.

Did you ever see the movie "Lady in Cement"? Dan Blocker had a great role in the movie which starred Frank Sinatra as Tony Rome the Private Eye who is determined to solve a very difficult case. Dan and Frank have a great fight scene:

I don't think they ever regularly showed Bonanza with no commercial interruption.

Nope, they only did it once a year to introduce the new models.

I believe the car made an appearance in the magazine Muscle Car Review a few years ago. I was very interested in the high end quadraphonic sound system installed.

My mistake. It was the AM/FM Multiplex stereo I was referring to. I can't believe I mixed that up!
