The Trident Iceni - 100% biodiesel, long range sports car.

Here something I picked up on my cyber travels. If it is as good as they say, I coud even be interested - 200mph? Yep that'll do. 2000 miles on a single tank of gas? yup, that'll do too. 75,000 GBP ah!, might have to pause for thought there guys.

The Trident Iceni, the 200mph sports car that will get you to Venice and back on just one tank of fuel.

This sleek machine is being hailed as the future of high-performance, eco-friendly motoring.

With an engine that runs on pure biodiesel, the Trident Iceni can do 2,000 miles on one tank of fuel - enough for a return trip to Venice from London.

Capable of topping 200mph, the car has been designed and manufactured by Phil Bevan, of Norwich-based firm Trident Performance Vehicles.

Impressive: The Trident Iceni travel from zero to 60mph in under four seconds

Just 500 go on sale from next year, priced at 75,000, after the firm spent 2.3million in development.

A spokesman said: 'Its like having a Lamborghini without the cost or the damage to the environment.
Electric cars are great for short distances but not really ideal for people who live in rural locations.
The Iceni is incredibly economical on fuel, which is virtually unheard of in a car of that speed.

The car was designed by Phil Bevan with the aim of building a car that would achieve 100 miles per gallon of bio-diesel

Rare: Only 500 Icenis will go on sale, costing 75,000

It uses a technology called 'torque multiplication' which helps keeps the revs low and thus uses less fuel and gives out less emissions.
The chassis is made from stainless steel which wont corrode and the body isbuilt of composite which will never rust or degrade.

A matter of taste I suppose, Damen. I must admit it is growing on me - a sort of mix of Jaguar, Aston, Lotus and LSD.
