    More Drivers - More Stupidity

One thing that I enjoyed about $4.00 per gallon gasoline was that there were a lot fewer drivers on the road. Since gas went below $2.50 per gallon, I have noticed a dramatic spike upwards in off-peak hour traffic. It seems as if there are more cars impeding progress on our crowded road system.

Prior to the price drop, a lot fewer people were traveling as traffic on rural interstate highways was down 12.7 percent here in Florida.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

I frankly liked it better when gas was 4 bucks and even at 3 bucks. It was nice not to have to deal with the blockers.

I agree; the high gas prices tamped down on the maggots noticeably.

    Well, there's always economic collapse!

    I think I understand Dick Cheney... .

If it keeps my (still) beautiful rural area of SW Va. free of these bastards, their McMansions, their minivans and SUVs - and the noise, ugliness, pollution, ever-rising taxes/cost of living - away from us, then I say, bring it on!
