It appears that it will soon be legal for those with CWPs to carry while on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.

In a previous thread, I posted the new rules that affect national parks, which would include (ostensibly) the Blue Ridge Parkway, where up until now it has been illegal to carry even if you have a valid CWP.

This is good news for people like myself, who live near the parkway and use it often to get into/out of town, etc.

Previously, one would have to either leave one's weapon at home or store it (unloaded) in the trunk to be "legal" on the parkway - which was a PITAS.

The new rules should go into effect Jan. 9.

So, some good news, at least, on the 2nd Amendment front!
