Agreed - on the shelf behind me right now I have a model '57 Hawk! The '53 Loewy coupes were, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful cars ever made. Equally impressive is the way they managed, while slowly going broke, to keep that basic design looking up-to-date, thanks in no small part to Brooks Stevens. Stevens is, I think,a very under-rated designer - look at what could have been the '66 Studebaker:

Ford's already got the step ladder on the tailgate thing.

And isn't the Envoy XUV already discontinued? It was reported to be so top-heavy as to be rendered almost undriveable.
