    Basic transportation

Eric - you wanted VW to bring the original Beetle back.
Maybe it's not a Beetle, but this is certainly not high-class transportation.

Officially, TriFuns are motorcycles, but it's hard to imagine anyone driving one wearing a pair of riding chaps. It's a car for puttering around, not cruising. But TriFuns are street-legal, and they can hit 70 mph.

Gawd, that car is ugly and overpriced. I paid that much for a very lightly used 2003 Jaguar S-type that gets at least 27 mpg on the highway.

There's a local dealer selling somrthing similar. I think it gets about 50mpg. It's better looking, but not much. The dealer wanted to swap my Concours for one. It just looks too dainty for me. My Connie can pull 100 and not break a sweat and if I get into the curves, it stays right in there. I noticed the two he has have been sitting there for quite a while.

    It is ugly!

Also, expensive (I could buy a nice used Corolla for about $6k) and from the looks of that thing, I bet it is one evil-handling SOB!

I drove one of these as fast as 147 mph and it handled like a champ, however that was in the Cruis'n World video game.

Check it out here's another person who did this same feat:
