    A Steal!

The 1967 Jaguar 420 in this ad is priced at a steal. I want it! I guess I could sell my S-type. I am going to try this car out!

Looks nice, I like this better than the white one.

I don't think 420s ever caught on with collectors the way MkIIs and S-Jags did.

Is your S a classic, or the recent one?

I have been thinking about, but I don't have a garage. This car would need one. Of course, a friend has offered to help me store it! lol

It is amazing the beautiful automobiles that can be had in this depression for 1/2 of what they would have cost 3 years ago. This car, if it is what it seems, is another example.

If your friend has the space to store it for you and you know it's not imposing and that's the only thing holding you back, I'd say go for it!

Meanwhile, I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of buying either a "nice" (low mileage/great condition) 2004 Nissan Frontier for around $9k vs. a very low mileage (38k) mechanically excellent 2002 Corolla owned by an old lady (local) who was a serious smoker (interior will need a major cleaning) and had bad eyesight, which caused her to slightly scrape both sides of the car when going into/out of her garage. But the thing's only $4,500 and will probably be good for another 150,000 miles at least.... The truck's pretty and it's got personality while the Toyota's as dull as stale bread. But if I buy the Toyota, I save about five grand going in....

Then yes, by all means, sell it to finance a classic.

If you had a mid-60s S, then I'd not be so sure, the S and the 420 are pretty much the same car apart from the nose. Imagine that 420 with the nose of a 3.8 MkII and you've got the S-Type.
