Yesterday my friend Mike and his young apprentice (son of another mutual friend) dropped by our place and convinced me to stop being an old man for awhile, put down the hammer and saw (working on our guest cottage) and go for a ride. Mike had his CBX, the kid had an old Honda 400 twin (neat bike) and I was on my ZRX. We rode into Floyd (county seat, the one traffic light in the whole county) stopped for gas, then took some back roads to the Blue Ridge Parkway which we followed North for awhile, then back up US 221 (where I briefly ran the 'Rex up to an indicated 148) and back to my country Fuhrerbunker.

Really nice ride. I sometimes forget how important "cycle therapy" is - and that home projects should not take over my consciousness, or my time!
