I don't intend to gratuitously slam people's beliefs, but just because a belief is "religious" shouldn't entitle it to polite deference. Demented is demented. I agree with Richard Dawkins that it's a type of mental illness, only we treat its victims differently than we do "secular psychotics" who claim they are God.

I suppose if you're merely talking to "Him" then it's ok and normal.
