    I don't know any more than what's in the article.

    But it must have been really aggressively ugly to do so poorly in the clinic, considering how ugly the SUVs are that people DO buy.

    Sounds like they were aiming for a baby Enclave. But did their usual badge engineering by slapping a Buick decal on a Saturn Vue.

    Really, I think there had to be some doubt about the vehicle inside GM for them to even consider showing it to outsiders.

    Hopefully they'll do more of this (show pre-production models to panels of ordinary car-buying citizens) in order to find out what their customers actually want. Make them sign NDAs, whatever, I think it's important that they get input from outside Renaissance Center.

    Uh, they've been doing exactly that for decades. They're called 'clinics'. Pretty much every new car released goes through the process.

    It doesn't seem to be a very reliable system though, since the Aztek made it through the clinic process.
