    Wiper arms

My 76 Impala comes with what they call "articulated" wiper arm (driver side). Wonder if I can use a conventional arm in case of need for replacement, does anyone know? Not that I need one, but just in case I need to replace it.

Yes, but a lot of cars used the articulated arms. It lets the wiper cover a longer sweep without hitting ther side of the windshield. In a pinch, you could use a regular arm but it wouldn't clear the glass as well. Outside of getting you home, I'd stay with the regular arm. It's not like you're going to have a lot of snow in Hawaii unless you're a star gazer.

You could use non-factory wiper arms in a pinch, but why? If you need a replacement, factory arms are readily available for your Chevy.
