Motor Trend took both cars out to Willow Springs and the results are interesting to say the least.

.... and yeah I admit I'm biased to the chrome pony so I love it even more!

I'd say the Mustang is better!

Base car has 300-plus hp vs. the 3-Series 230 ... and the Ford costs $10k less to start, too.

As for the M vs. GT:

The M is an incredible performance car; but so is the new GT.

The BMW has been reduced to "status" and "refinement" as it's not longer the clear numero uno on performance.

This has become true about most "exotics." They used to be clearly a notch above in terms of power/acceleration/handling. You paid exotic money to get exotic car performance.

Now, exotic car performance is available to anyone with about $40-$50k to spend.
