Good eye on the oil filler pipe; that is an obvious clue!
I really like the Can Am, especially the ones equipped with the same-year TA's 200 hp 400 Pontiac. Not a rocketship, but a car with lots of potential that was fun as hell to drive... .
PS: Another "way to tell" -
As with the same-era Trans Ams, if the car has the high-performance 400 Pontiac, the shaker scoop's callouts will read, "T/A 6.6" - if it has the olds 403, it will read, "6.6 litre."
