    The article also confirms Eric's other story about people becoming freelancers out of necessity. The number of part-time workers for economic reasons is very high.

    Also an indication that the stimulus actually harmed the economy - the $8k first-time homebuyer credit caused housing prices to increase (hey - if your buyer is using someone else's money, why not raise prices?)
