A long time ago it was baseball and football.

OK, I can deal with that.

Then it became the 'stupid bowl'. This is where guy's who can't get laid for free, pay a lot of money.....

Then came the "Final Four" - who gives a rats ass about this?

Now there's FIFA and the fu<king soccer. Some morons mindlessing running around a field.

Not to mention NASCAR - a bunch of southern rednecks waiting for a high speed, fatal collision.

As society deteriorates into its final stages, there is more need (and desire for) mindless "entertainment."

The working and middle classes, rendered impotent and helpless by our system, can feel empowered and virile by proxy - by watching "their team" win a game. It's a safe way to vent the rage/frustration that would otherwise be directed at worthwhile objects, such as doing something about the systematic exploitation of everyday people by the corporatocracy.

It's really pathetic.
