..for believing anything about this idea of a supernatural being?
Everything people say about this being - "god" - amounts to unprovable assertions, slippery generalizations and what arguably amounts to wishful thinking, given the absolute absence of anything more solid than "I believe" or "it is written" to support it.
Thoughts?
This experiment would prove the nonexistance:
Here's my proof:
If you were born in Isreal you would be a jew.
If you were born in Italy you would be a catholic.
If you were born in India you would be a hindu.
If you were born in Pakistan you would be a muslim.
I believe this statistically shows that religious belief is simply a product of your enviornment.
Need I continue?

Yep, that's a pretty devastating (and common sense) objection to the ridiculous presumption that every major religion has: The claim to being the "one true faith" and a beeline to the deity.
There's also the almost child-like (no wait, it is child-like) anthropomorphism that pervades all the major (Abrahamic, anyhow) religions.
A sort of divine paterfamilias who lords it over his not-so-bright "children," who demands submission to his authority, including his often arbitrary edicts ... just "because."
Big Daddy also gets vengeful and jealous; he likes to copulate with "the daughters of man" and takes a keen interest in their sexual activities. He likes the smell of burnt offerings and... well, you get the idea!
There is this ad trailer on your web site...

As I was reading through the advert I saw a mention:
I thought yeah, folklore! It's simple and wraps it all in a nutshell.Alan Dundes, Professor of Folklore at the University of California at Berkeley.
However be warned - I have heard through prayer that Godzilla will soon come fix the gulf oil leak!
Many times god will talk to me, via my pet turtle.

Steel is worked by hammer and fire and hardened by fire and yet may also softened by fire.
The heart must be hammered by adversity and forged by suffering, purged and hardened by the fire of conflict. A man's heart can only be shaped, purified and softened on the "anvil of despair and loss".
Therefore steel and flesh are different in chemistry but similar in concept.
The Invisible Pink Unicorn (may her hooves be washed only in the cleansing waters of purity) is, however, pure and perfect in all things, needs no fire nor suffering nor adversity to enhance her perfection and cannot be overcome by flesh or steel.

If there's any truth to this God business, why did he stop revealing himself to people 2000 years ago, leaving us at the mercy of priests and holy books?
Wouldn't it be awesome if mankind evolved passed all this? Where people didn't judge each other on their beliefs? I think religion is manipulated at times to control people or sanction dastardly deeds. While I am religious I do not believe more then going to church on Sunday and doing a daily prayer. Now I ask ou this what about the Bible and Koran were these made up? Who could spend so much time making these up? The Bible and Koran have many great moral teachings and is the guide for billions. Are the characters described in these books made up? Ask your self these questions first and please do not worship false gods a grave sin indeed.
