There are soooo many red flags it's hard to know where to start.
So now we have to lease cars - too expensive to buy them? Both vehicles will cost more than a comparable gasoline-engine car when they hit showrooms this fall. But their lease deals are competitive with regular cars.
What a lie: $350 a month not. Add the $2,500 downpayment and you get $419 a month. Here we go again, the deal starts with a lie.GM's $350-a-month lease deal is for 36 months with $2,500 down. Nissan's lease plan is $349 a month over the same period with $1,995 down.
Another great idea: A bankrupt company sells products for less than what they cost.Toprak said the Volt lease will be heavily subsidized by GM as a way to get people into Chevrolet showrooms
To add insult to injury, we are adding to this years deficit with is already $1,400,000,000,000 - yes $1.4 x 10**12 And that's the deficit for just 2010!For those who buy the Leaf or Volt, the two cars also are eligible for a federal tax credit that will cut their prices by $7,500.

Ha, ha, ha .... California IS bankrupt. They are laying off cops in Oakland and several other cities. Some states, such as California, Georgia and Oregon, offer additional tax breaks that will lower the price further.
Where is that 5 mile in diameter metor when you need it?
