I would never buy a self cleaning litter box.
May I suggest a cat litter that is a little more expensive but lasts a long, long time. It is Worlds Best Cat litter. You can find it at Petco or Pets mart or any local joint (if they carry it).
Cleaning the litter box is no fun, but it is far less stressful with Worlds Best than some brand like tidy cat or whatever.
I put the poop and pee in a plastic bag from the supermarket....

Cats are awesome, I wanna play with all the ones in this thread. Especially the cougars.
My cat Clyde is my best little buddy. He's sixteen years old now, still healthy and active, still goes on his daily prowl.
I used to really not like cat, but since we got Spooky that all changed.
He is way smarter than all three of our dogs combined and extremely easy to care for.
