When I flew eariler this year, they make you throw away any beverages.
Then you get to buy a bottle of water in the airport - for $3.00 - instead of 25 cents
I wonder if anyone has inspected each of those bottles???
Seems like they just make this shit up each week to have something new to "be searching for." What's next, really?
I mean the airlines, despite all the shit, had excellent profits this year.
A big reason for this, I think, is because they won't let us bring many of the common everyday consumables we all need/use. We're forced to buy it in the air, or at the next airport.
I'll will avoid flying at all cost!
Not sure how I'll be getting to Japan next year, might just have to break down and do it! -doh

I went through airport security today with a (forgotten) half-full Dr. Pepper bottle in my bag.
The really bad part is the x-ray technician was being trained by another TSA employee and totally missed this.

I cannot speak for every airport. At JFK at one terminal--> The delivery people had to go through the same security that everyone else had to pass. The water bottles and other materials went individually (box by box) through the detector machines. This was about one year ago in December 2009.
Sincerely,
Anthony
