    "Assigned" to a driver...

I called the shipping company that has my bike (and has had it since the first week of December).

The lady says it has been "assigned" to a driver. When the truck will actually leave Milwaukee - let alone reach Roanoke - is anyone's guess.

I'm thinking we should start a pool. The person who most accurately picks the arrival date of my bike gets a prize (to be determined).

    Who's in?

Might as well have some fun with it....

I hope you're right... this waiting is driving me nuts.

I feel like they have me by the balls. They've got my money; and worse, they've got my bike. I'v already waited more than a month. Do I hang tough and wait and little more - hoping that they will deliver it within the next week or two? Or am I stupid for waiting even another day? (I could always just drive up there, get the bike and be done with it.)

Like I said in an earlier post: I would never, ever do this again.

I wouldn't even consider shipping a bike without a guaranteed delivery date in writing before any money changed hands.

I'll go for May 10th. Mainly because I noticed it's been "assigned", not loaded. I load trucks for a living. We get loads that were assigned days, if not weeks or sometimes months before. The mass of numbers on the picking slip tells me all the times involved. I loaded one in Augsut that was originally to be loaded in March.

When they inform you the load has been picked up, then you'll know it's on the way.
