BMW must think that they need to exaggerate the dirtiness of old diesels, so that they can sell new ones.

That is what is different between BMW and Mercedes or VW, who would have shown how long a diesel car can last, how clean it always has been, and then shown that they have made it even better. BMW only makes their new car look good, instead of the diesel image as a whole. Don't get me wrong, it is good to see a diesel specific commercial, but it could have been a little more positive.

Funny though, they didn't show a clip of their own 524TD shaking and smoking....maybe there are none left that run...
