Ok - I forgot which thread we were using to discuss the anti-heroism of our police and firefighters, specifically regarding the drowning man's rescue by a civilian while our public servants stood by and did nothing. This piece from the LA Times addresses those wussies, saying,
"Police and firefighters stood by and watched a suicidal man drown. We need to restore the principle that the real constituency for public safety is the public, not bureaucrats and government workers."

What I find hard to believe is that this came from Los Angeles. Could it be that Californians might finally be waking to reap the consequences of their liberal policies?
