I like the idea of a more fuel efficient engine without a significant loss of drivability.

Will this engine be a good option for small vehicles?

Are there any potential reliability/repair issues with using a turbocharger?

Although the article does not say, will the engine be an interference or non-interference engine. I have had a bad experience from a timing belt breaking in an interference engine which ruined the engine in the process so I would prefer to avoid interference engines if possible.
