Photobucket techies are trying to find out why my videos don't work. My guess is that I'm doing something daft but I'm giving them Chapter & Verse on what I'm doing to get the links below.

Thanks for the feedback, JP. I cannot access my videos - the link takes me back to my website, to the rght album, but I have to download the videos onto my PC to view them. Like you I get an error message (Error 404) using the lower (HTML) link. The Photobucket Techies have uncovered one problem and are working with me to get me full functionality. I have just sent them screen shots of all the displays I get when posting/viewing a video. If you can view the video then we are half way there. I like to preview my posts, if I have videos embedded, to make sure they run properly, and at the moment I can't do that.

I had a YouTube account - worked well and I was quite happy until, when signing in one day, I was told I had to open a Google account before I could use YouTube. (This was just after Google took over YouTube.) I do not like corporate cudgel swinging, so I deleted all my uploads and canceled my YouTube account immediately. Photobucket should work as well as YT did, it is just something in my set-up that is cocking it all up. The Photobucket Techies are helping me investigate my problem. I know that JP can view my MR_Bardney video without any problem now, so we are part of the way there.

Mystery solved, but not cured. Windows Media Player 11, which I use, does not support .mp4 format. Files uploaded to Photobucket are converted to .mp4! - bugger.
